My new SG. Its an Emperor level game with the French as a Civ on PTW 1.21. Its a variant game, but instead of rules restricting us, there are some...policies laid out reflecting the French spirit of elan (the offensive) in the beginnings of World War I.
We start the game as Communists, and it is our goal to conquer the whole world, spreading the words of Marx across the globe, until everyone is Communist - or dead.
We are the Mongols. It is our duty to bring the entire world under one banner - our banner. Therefore we have no time to waste on "temples" and "libraries" and this rubbish that the people want. We may create no buildings of culture. First we must conquer the world.
In tribute to my favourite CIV player I have decided to start another SG based on Trading and War.
This SG has three restrictions as follows.
1. Victory condition Space Race
2. No research allowed of any description (Slider at 0 at all times and no scientists - ever)
3. Cultural victories will be turned off.
Playable CIV: Arabs
Difficulty: Monarch
Map: Large Archepelago, pre-inspected for suitability.

This game tries to capture the spirit of colonial expansion with some rule changes, and an archipelago with customized islands and resources. The Civ is England.
AM7, a Monarch-level variant where we're trying to build lots of wonders with the Persians, could use another player -- we're still in the early stages of the game. Pipe up in the thread if you're interested.
