Suggestions and Requests

Canal and trade cities.

Canal cities, like Panama and Suez and Trade cities, ranging from Italian Colonias to European treaty ports.
How would that work? Some sort of terrain feature that eventually lets you create a building/improve some buildings' yield?

Would it be possible to have a line break in the description of the longer UHVs on the victory screen? You can check their complete wording on the Pedia but it's nice to see the exact turn for their deadline.

Idea for the Mongol UP - change it to "Power of the Horde: +1 movement for land military units until the Renaissance Era." Keshik and Mangudai lose their additional movement and gain the ability to cause unrest in nearby city. This would help make the Mongols' slower units (especially siege) more relevant to their conquests instead of lagging behind.

Small detail, but do you guys reckon German Reich or Greater German Reich would be a more accurate Fascist name for Germany? To me it seems the rule of thumb with civ names is to use the "official name" so I think either one of those would be a better fit over the currently used Third Reich.

After quite some runs I find the 1700 particularly challenging due to the latest stability update. Countries are so stable they consistently reach 2020 without troubles, sometimes creating balancing issues. For instance, I find Spain and Portugal rarely lose its LatAm empire. Without player intervention, Spain easily becomes the major world power. Is this intended ?

I have never seen a decolonization vote at the UN win when the city would've become independent. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if it is a function of how the AI views giving a city to the "Independent" civ which most AI-civs I assume hate.

The only city that I have ever seen decolonized is Amsterdam which I noted at the time created a Dutch civ instead of an independent city.

I have an idea for buffing the Lowland tiles to represent their exceptional wealth *and* production: special resources. The label isn’t important it would be just be a means to work around game limits.

Pre-Digital Projects, to improve your civ. Something akin to Realism Invictus.

Expanding the music module would be nice. I constantly play too much the islamic nations just to hear their unique soundtrack.

Notre Dame should become obsolete in late Industrial or in Global era (Civil Rights or maybe Televison). It look a bit OP in late game
I think Civil Rights could be it. Canon France would be among the first civs to adopt Secularism so I think it would make sense and also encourage you to civic switch.

not only additional OST, but also more regional tracks and separations.
What do you mean specifically?

Western Europe/Eastern Europe/ or
Mediterranean/Northern Europe
South Asia/Southeast Asia?
Something to differentiate Arab/Magreheb from Persia/Central Asia

I already made an Ancient European, African, and East Asian playlist in the past that I uploaded on Github. The Native American but a user with better programming experience than me put some New World tracks into the dill.

When it comes to music before 500 CE, I think usually thematic music rather than purely historical music is preferred. Either way I know I would be excited to see the ancient playlist expanded.

Since the Celtic Civ is scheduled to be added it might make more sense to have some fantasy/northern music to be placed in the Ancient List:

Celtic Lands
Viking Age
Barbarian Invasion

the history book on the shelf / is always repeating itself

Is there a way to mod the game to turn off time/score victory ?

If you launch the game using "custom game", you can pick the enabled victory types.

Small suggested tweak to Britain or navies -- not sure which b/c I'm struggling to identify what's causing the specific problematic outcome.

So in all of my games the Renaissance UK builds a gazillion ships. The UK (I assume -- possibly incorrectly) is coded to somehow do this bc of its ship building UHV condition. However, at some point in the upgrade chain Britain manages to upgrade its gazillion Renaissance surface combatants into a gazillion modern transports ..... which by the Global Era basically just sit uselessly in UK ports.

Idk where the upgrade chain is going wrong, but maybe there's someway to make Britain's navy upgrade in a more rational way? I'm not entirely sure what's causing the upgrade chain to go bad, so it's hard for me to recommend a specific fix, but I thought somebody else might know more and suggest an easily coded fix (probably in the way naval units upgrade).
