Here's a few ideas i came up with for a carthage civ that could be modded in for civ 5. As soon as the civ 5 creation and customization forum is up, i'll post a request there

Civ: Carthage
Leader: Hannibal Barca
UU#1: numidian cavalry
UU#2: (I haven't decieded on a definite second one yet, but i've narrowed it down) option 1: african elephant, option 2: african phalanx, option 3:quinquereme
unique ability: option 1-punic treachery(all units and can hide in all types of rough terrain)
option 2-barcid leadership(lower support costs and less xp for promotions)
traits: favors combined arms and ambush tactics

Otherwise, i think civ 4 did a good job on carthage. any suggestions or comments are welcome

The Iroquois only get regular movement in trees as their ability (imo a rather weak one). Don't you think DOUBLE movement in ALL rough terrain + a completely new mechanic for them is a little much?

I figure you could make a quick-and-dirty approximation of Carthage by giving them Indian war elephants, Songhai's cavalry, and either the Arabian or Ottoman unique ability.

Hannibal's been here since... what, Civ II? I think it's time to give someone else a turn. Someone like:

I took out the first part for punic treachery, so now it just allows carthaginian units to hide in the other type of rough terrain. another possible trait i thought of would be:
tributary allies: can rent units from city states
taking indian war elephants and songhai cavalry and slightly changing them might work, but the ottoman or arabian traits both seem weak or unfitting for carthage.
