Summertime...

At least it's trying to be. The summer vacation is coming up, and I will not be here until August (d*** that primitive life without Internet connections

).

Anyone else who is leaving for vacation?

Summer holidays I wish! It's Winter here in Melbourne, pouring rain, currently 6 degrees C with a wind chill that makes it seem much colder (sou-wester blowing straight of the Southern Ocean)

and my friends are going for holidays in tropical far North Queensland. They say they're worried about getting sunburnt!

My f****n oath, it is cold, wet and miserable!! But, I am on holidays from uni and all that until August or so ( at least i hope I got it right, and don't turn up two weeks late for term, like I did first semester

)
But, i'll still be around, as i am hibernating in my room, except for one weekend when I'm nipping over to Geelong to catch the footy.

A week ago summer sucked here, there was six inches of snow at Alta and it was just barely above freezing here in the valley. But now, there's not a cloud in the sky and we're expecting 90-95 degrees fareheit (31 degrees C).

...Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

As far as summer vacation; I yearn for the days when those words carried meaning. Sure I don't have to go to class during the summer, but I'm working my sorry ass more than full-time. The only vacation I got will be on my birthday (June 23).
