This is regarding borrowing money, e.g. going to deficit in your treasury. Some of you have already done this, and it is encouraged to get your nation going, but I realize there is a hole that needs to be plugged. Most of the rules regarding deficit spending stands except for the limit of which you can borrow. Instead of a 100c max for all nations no matter what, each nation can now only borrow as much as 3 x (y), where y is the income of your nation. So, for example, if the USSA has an income of 25, it can only go into deficit up to 75c. Going over this will result in revolution.

huh. if you would have been patient, I would have told you that I wasn't going to make the debt rule apply to you since yes, I did make the new rule after you spent it, and that wouldn't be fair.

Also it wouldn't be fair to the other players if I did allow you to spend a ton of borrowed money on research, and then change the rules. That wouldn't be fair to everyone else, and since it wasn't a matter of life or death for your nation, I did do it. I didn't even have you borrow the money for it, you borrowed 30c less then you wanted, which was the amount you had going to the research.

And I actually think I am modding this NES okay. All new rule sets have holes in them that need to be plugged during the game play.

EDIT: and on closer look, you aren't even over the limit with your deficit, so I don't know why you are freaking out.
