We understand that their reply is slow, but don't be so quick to label people as "threats" to the "commintern"... You may see indifferent powers become hostile to "The commintern".

Is this the correct size?

prsa2smallvr5.png

I took the original, which was 750 x 500, and turned it to 141 x 93 which is still bigger than the other maps. Hmm lets see my current map is 88 x 53 which is a 1.66 ratio, my map is a 1.5 ratio. 75 x 50 looks too small though:

Heres the full sized one I created. Maybe you can work it out:

Two things:

1. We made a conditional statement that we "will" lable them as threats, which they already are, but we did not, yet, if they fail to reply.

2. We understand your genuine concern for our well-being, but there is DPRK's freedom at stake. Also, we do not see that it is your concern whether indifferent powers become hostile towards us; unless, of course, you speak for their minds.

Then, here is our concern for you. We see that you've invested in genetic research. But are you sure Mohammad will agree with you on that? We've not much profound knowledge of Islam doctrine, but we're sure Allah doesn't want you invading his turf.

OOC: Deadline is coming, and I need to make informed decision for DPRK. It was IC way of saying, "dude hurry up and answer so I can turn in my orders".

REPUBLIC OF PAMPAS DECIMATES BRAZILIAN AIR FORCE, NEW WAR BEGINS

T-55_main_battle_tank_Nicaragua_01.jpg

Pampan tank brigade advancing down jungle roads in Brazil

Buenos Aeries, Republic of the Pampas
As the Brazilians believe the month would end with the surrender of Bolivia and the expansion of the Republic of Brazil, Pampan fighters and fighter/bombers of the 1st Air Armada took to the skies near the small Bolivian city of Puerto Aguirre on their way to decimate the Brazilian 1st Wing as it lay on the landing strips in Trinidad. The surprise attack was completely effective, knocking on the bomber squadron while it was on the ground, along with a squadron of fighters and fighter/bombers. The impact and surprise at first paralyzed the Brazilians, only to have the reawaken to a rapidly advancing Pampan army to their capital, Brasilia. With nothing but partisans and a few contingents of national guard units to defend the capital, the city soon fell to the 1st Legion of the Republic of the Pampas. Shocked, the Brazilian executive government was captured and lies in the hands of the Pampan generals. Meanwhile, the 2nd Legion moved east, to the rich and populous Brazilian coastline, their goal was the city of Sao Paulo. After Belo Horizonte was captured, the Brazilian national guard units and the fleet anchored off the coast prepared the defenses of Sao Paulo. All to no avail, the Pampan 2nd Legion captured the city on the 23rd of February, after losing only 3 infantry divisions.

Meanwhile back to the west the Brazilian 1st Army reacted to the capturing of Brasilia by withdrawing from Bolivia along with the few planes that were left in the 1st Wing. They rapidly advanced to retake the city, and the Battle for Brasilia began on February 26th. The almost-equal armies continue to battle it out, much of the city in ruin from artillery and air strikes on both sides. While the Pampans remain in control of the air, the Brazilian 1st Wing does manage to slip by Pampan fighters as they operated from a far distance to deliver much-needed air strikes in support of the 1st Army. So far, the casualties have been tilted towards the Brazilian army, who lack air superiority and are slightly weaker. The Brazilians have lost 5 infantry, 2 mechanized infantry, and their sole gunship squadron while the Pampans have lost 6 infantry and 1 mechanized infantry.

Brazilian stability has greatly faltered as their capital and president were captured, especially by their rivals. The Pampans, on the other hand, are ecstatic with their force’s victories in Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil, though the lack of a declaration of war has meant the stability rating did not go as high as it could have.

HEADLINES

SOUTH AFRICA DEFEATS TANZANIA, MOVES INTO BURUNDI Dar Es Salaam, PRSA
Left over guerilla groups, former members of the Tanzanian armed forces, were finally defeated or surrendered early in the month to overwhelming South African forces. On the heels of victory, the PRSA army of South Africa moved into the neighboring nation of Burundi, aiming to take the capital Bujumbura by the end of the month, but falling short due to heavy resistance. In a small battle outside the capital, an artillery battery was destroyed as Burundi forces managed to flank the Army of South Africa temporally.

ANOTHER AFRICAN SUCCESS AS NIGERIA SECURES CAMEROON Yaounde, Nigerian Empire
Just days after the PRSA secured Tanzania, the Nigerians overran the last defenses of the Cameroon forces in the northeastern portion of the country. At the Battle of Maroua the Nigerians took heavy casualties as 2 infantry divisions and an artillery battery were knocked out by guerilla forces. Ultimately the battle was won by overwhelming numbers and Nigerian air superiority. With Cameroon secured, many wonder where Nigeria will turn next.

AS EU RETREATS FROM SWEDEN, MOVES INTO BOSNIA Berlin, EU
As crowds of protestors gathered around Berlin to condemn the retreat of EU forces from Sweden, the 1st Armored made its way across continental Europe and instead landed within the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The border towns of Brod and Bihac easily fell to the 1st Armored, but further advancement has been slow and costly to the EU as Bosnian forces prepare defenses and take advantage of the rocky terrain. At the Battle of Banja Lucka alone, the 1st Armored lost 2 armored brigades.

Meanwhile the EU advance in Albania goes better, with the capture of Tirana greatly boosting the morale of 1st Motorized, even despite the loss of a mechanized infantry division. The small communist nation remains defiant until the end, though, as the Albanian resistance has gathered in the very northern part of the nation and is determined to hold on as long as possible.

VIETNAM CAPTURES LOUANGPHRABANG, NEARS VIENTIANE Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
The Vietnamese won a crucial victory early in the month with the capture of Louangphrabang, the major center of central Laos, after losing a grizzly four infantry divisions during one of the world’s worse planned battles. With air cover scarce as Laotian fighters patrol the skies, the Vietnamese were forced to fight the old and dirty way, which eventually still won them the day. This, after news of a deal struck with Vietnam’s hated rival in Indonesia, has not had a good impact on public opinion.

FIJI FALLS TO OCEANIA, PAPUA NEW GUINEA REMAINS STUBBORN Suva, Oceania
Even as the Oceanians move in the 47th Mechanized division and retrain and reequip the 24th Mechanized Division, the Papua New Guineans remain somewhat stubborn. While the official status of New Guinea is surrender, rebel forces and renegade government forces alike continue to hold onto the isolated interior of the island. And, even with the reinforcements, there simply is not enough Oceanians to make occupying the island a feasible option.

Meanwhile, as the Oceanian main force is tied up with the Papua New Guinea debacle, 2 West Pac Division was escorted to the Fiji islands, where resistance was light. Though the West Pac Division is light in numbers and training, they were still able to take Suva in one month and occupy the entirety of the island chain. One infantry division was lost though, due to the lack of air support.

MEXICAN ARMY DEFEATS HONDURAS, OCCUPIES Tegucigalpa, Mexican Empire
As many Hondurasians weep for the independence of their country, Mexican tanks rolled through the last major city of the Republic of Honduras, Puerto Castilla. The city fell after three days of non-stop shelling of the city and its defenses, and then finally the storming of the ruins by the 82.a and 54.a Mexican motorized divisions, which took light casualties after the final battle. Mexicans celebrate the victory of one of their country’s most notorious rivals in the streets of Mexico City.

SUDAN SO BIG, UIS CANNOT KEEP HANDLE ON. Port Sudan, Occupied Sudan
While getting a huge amount of reinforcements plus being almost completely retrained, the UIS Army One is just unable to control such a vast territory such as the Sudan without further aid. While victorious in every battle it fights, Army One just simply can’t be everywhere at once, and so while it moves to the east and captures Port Sudan, Khatoum is liberated by Sudanese forces, striking a huge blow to UIS morale. The battle in the east goes well though, as Army One takes few casualties while being supported by The Mighty Fist of Allah Who Crushes the Infidel fleet that’s parked just off the coast in the Red Sea.

Meanwhile the UIS is the first superpower to finish researching a technology. The research of Advanced Genetics not only opens doors to further research, but also begins to find cures for common disabilities and even weaknesses in the genetic structure of current soldiers. This research has had the effect of strengthening UIS soldiers beyond the normally-trained trooper of other countries, creating one of the best fighting forces in the world for their training level.

RUSSIAN FORCES CAPTURE DNIPROPETROVS’K, ODESA Kiev, Occupied Ukraine
On the cold day of February 8th, the 58th Army of the Russian Federation commenced bombardment of the city of Dnipropetrovs’k, the last major city of the Ukrainian resistance in the east. Days later, an assault on the city produced some Russian casualties as an infantry was destroyed within the first few hours, but ended up being a victory for the Russians. Just the same, the 2nd Taman Guards dove deep into southern Ukraine, and, with the aid of the Baltic Fleet, managed to secure all of the Ukrainian coastline, including the industrialized city of Odense. The 74th Motor Rifle Brigade, meanwhile, wisely remained garrisoned within Kiev as a major Ukrainian counterattack mustered in the east. In the morning of February 23rd the Ukrainians assaulted the garrisoned city under a barrage of artillery and lead by infantry, followed by the remaining armored divisions of the Ukrainian army. As the 74th Motor Rifle Brigade struggled to hold on to the city, Russian air strikes decimated the Ukrainian artillery batteries. Though even without control of the skies or artillery backup, the Ukrainians were near to winning the battle for the city, which could have drastically extended the war months, and possibly force the Russians to withdraw. However, before the 74th was forced to withdraw, General Nikita Balakirev of the 2nd Guards Taman Motor Rifle Division arrived from the south, surprising the 74th and drove the Ukrainians out of the city and back west. All in all, the Russians losses were heavy, as the 74th was nearly destroyed, losing a gunship squadron, 2 mechanized infantry divisions, and an artillery battery.

Though news from the Ukrainian War is mixed, the Russian people are ecstatic over the victories of Russian diplomats at the Baltic Countries Conference in St. Petersburg. Here Russian diplomats were hard at work all month trying to convince the Baltic States to recognize Russian hegemony in the region and submit to Russian influence. In the end, Estonia and Latvia refused to acknowledge Russian efforts, but Lithuania was, in the end, persuaded. The result was the Treaty of St. Petersburg, which in effect established Lithuania to be under the protection of the Russian Federation in exchange for a Right of Passage for Russian troops and military bases, and the hand-over of primarily-Russian land of Kaliningrad Oblast. President Kazimiera Prunskeine of Lithuania signed the treaty mostly in response to the EU’s treaty with Moscow, in effect meaning the EU dropping all connections with the Baltic States.

DESPITE HEAVY LOSSES, JAPANESE HOLD ON TO PUSAN Pusan, Occupied Korea
Even though the National Army received absolutely zero reinforcements from the homeland this month, the order was enthusiastically to push on and capture Seoul by the end of this month. Unfortunately for the Japanese, February will serve as a reality check for their leadership. Because the South Koreans are fully prepared to defend themselves, the Japanese should be relying more on numbers. Instead, the Japanese emperor grants no money to fund for reinforcements in Pusan, resulting in heavy casualties as the South Koreans nearly overwhelm the Japanese. Half the Japanese force was destroyed in one month, which includes 3 infantry divisions, 1 armored brigade, 1 artillery battery and a gunship squadron. Again the only reason Pusan still flies the red sun is because of heavy support from the powerful Pacific fleet anchored just outside the city.

BRILLIANT VICTORIES BRINGS INDONESIA NEAR TO VICTORY Bintulu, Occupied Malaysia
In a sudden reversal of tables, the Indonesians replace their corrupt and inept generals with the brightest minds the islands could offer, leading to better campaigns and less-costly victories over the rag-tag Malaysian force. In Borneo, the Sukarno army is able to repulse an attempt by the Malaysians to encircle the army, breaking free and ultimately capturing the remaining city on the island. Same goes for much of the battles on the mainland, where Kuala Limpur served as a jumping point, the entire peninsula falling this month save the last bastion of Malaysian power, Bahru on the Straights of Melakka.

As victory nears for Malaysia, the Sukarno army jumps starts the next step with the invasion of Brunei. The small city was thought to have been an easy capture, but instead the Indonesians find many Malaysian fighters who fled the war and are now trapped and forced to fight for Brunei. The result was a repulsion of the Indonesian force, causing 2 infantry divisions to be destroyed.

CHINESE TROOPS COMPLETELY OVERRUN MONGOLIA, SOUTHERN ARMY INVADES BURMA Beijing, PRC
Sitting idle like last month was not an option for the Peoples Republic this month, as the Communist Party steps in to revitalize the country and get its armies moving. After asserting Chinese influence and sustaining the dominance China has had diplomatically in East Asia, the PRC moved the Northern Army into the free nation of Mongolia. The country of Mongolia, one of the world’s poorest, is too under populated and just not able to economically defend itself, and is easily overran by the end of the month, costing the PRC only 2 infantry divisions in casualties.

Burma, on the other hand, is not an easy step. The PRC launched the invasion from the north with the Southern Army, supported by the Southern Air Corps. The Burmese, taken by surprise, were only barely able to relocate forces from the south to the city of Mandalay to give it a proper defense. The battle though was still quick, the Burmese being forced quickly from the city, scattering it across the jungles in the midsection of the country. While the Chinese may have only lost 2 infantry in the initial invasion, the cost of the war in Burma is expected to be high as Burmese excel in jungle guerrilla warfare and the Chinese have to maintain such a long supply route.

I think Indians occupied Nepal, not Tibet.

Also, I spent 10c for Jungle Spec. for Southern Army last turn, and I've spent 15c on Nuclear Weaponry. Please confirm.

Moreover, what does ROP stand for in Sino-Korean Defense Pact in the stats? And please add the Mutual Defense Treaty with UIS.
