India! Get your hands off that nipple! Err... I mean... Oh nevermind!

I think that Mexico being their own rival could be an error.

Also, I find it cute that noone's rival is China. This may give them an unfair advantage, as everyone is working to curb their rival's power in exchange for a morale boost... Noone gains that sort of boost against China, thus they would naturally face less obstacles.

We believe that the European Union and the Russian Federation must agree to a temporary partitioning of Europe so as to prevent unnecessary confrontation. This partition would provide for clear set boundaries, including the various neutral nations, over which our armies would not cross. In our minds, the agreement should initially last until next January, after which we could extend it if we find it still useful.

Our suggestion as to the actual partition is to include the Baltic States and Ukraine as part of the Russian sphere of influence, while the rest of Europe and, more importantly, the Balkans and Sweden, remain within our own influence.

Is this agreement amenable to the Russian Federation?

We do not wish to interfere in the affairs of the Union of Islamic States, and we are sure you do not wish to interfere in ours. We desire this to become a formal agreement; will you sigh a non-aggression pact with the European Union, to last until next January and then to be reevaluated, either for extension or termination?

To: Sweden
From: The European Union

It seems our generals have made a bit of a mistake in gaging the strength of Sweden. We do not wish to throw our men away; will you agree to a cease-fire until next January to allow for peace talks, assuming that we withdraw our troops from your territory?

Several questions....

Do fleets move faster than armies? What about air wings?
Can we transfer units between armies, assuming that they are fairly close?
Are airdrops a possible method of moving armies?
I suggest adding a coastal and/or naval army terrain specialization, for amphibious assaults and all those things.

Oceania has China as their rival.

We find that acceptable, at the first glance, but would like to inquire as to the state of Moldavia under this arrangement.

We propose a 2-year NAP.

The Republic of the Pampas does not recognize the criminal regime that has seized control of Brazil, but informal channels indicate that we have no aggressive intent.

Several questions....

Do fleets move faster than armies? What about air wings?

Fleets are able to move 4 quadrants per turn. I think this is in the rules. Air wings, so long as they don't fight that turn, can move anywhere in the world in a month.

Can we transfer units between armies, assuming that they are fairly close?

Yes.

Are airdrops a possible method of moving armies?

Not yet. I may add an additional unit, the Paratrooper, for this. But I'll have to think about that. Or maybe a specialty.

I suggest adding a coastal and/or naval army terrain specialization, for amphibious assaults and all those things.

Yes, just like para dropping, I might add a separate unit (Marine) or just turn it into specialization. I'll make a decision by next update.

I think they're just being a friendly and accommodating little culture. ;)

From: People's Republic of China

Currently, few nations around the globe are developing nuclear weapons, with, perhaps, individual purposes be it defense, domination, or pride. However, we are saddened to see that no other nation see this as application of knowledge gone awry: destroying the world! China feels that it will be best to, not ban - for that will be both foolhardy and useless, limit their production with some sort of union or global treaty.

Of course we will accept an alliance with the PRC. We will advise you, however, against dealing with capitalist scum. They cannot be trusted. In a world full of corruption we socialists must stick together. The worker's revolution must be spread worldwide!

To: World
From: USSA

We will bring to the world a people's revolution unmatched in all of history. In the name of Marx, the Parisian Commune, Lenin, the Soviet Union, and for all communists today, the USSA promises to liberate the people of Canada from their oppressive bourgeois masters! For too long the proletariat has suffered under the terrible rule of the rich upper class, and now we will strike the balance and establish a truly egalitarian society!

Workers rise up!

With the joining of United States of Socialist America, the People's Republic of China hereby announces the rebirth of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic. All communist states throughout the world are welcome to join. We will stand together against the capitalists and strive to bring about the fair global communism Marx and other communist leaders of history had dreamed. We urge you, therefore, to join us in this alliance, where we will protect and support each other for the rebirth of communism in this world.

Here is the roster so far: USSA, PRC, Cuba, and DPRK, but we also urge People's Republic of South America and People's Republic of Vietnam to join us as well.

We have no intention of attacking you at this time, nor in the near future, unless you force such a confrontation upon us. you stay out of our bisness, and we will stay out of your.

we should also both look farther west toward India. already our forces have secured several Indian outpost in the Laos region, from which we belive they were in the early stages of preparing for a bid to take over the entire region. several documents recovered point toward other opperations directed toward your nation.

While we agree that a new Communist International should be established, we don't believe that taking up the name of the USSR is proper. It is a fundamentally Russian name, and furthermore it has more connotations with the later years of its existence, when it whored itself out to the bourgeoisie and betrayed the proles and the revolution. While the Soviet Union of its youth is a noble idol, the Soviet Union we came to know was merely a mask for a different, sneaky bourgeoisie.

Instead, we suggest naming the Communist International the, well, Communist International - or Comintern for short.

Our intelligence services in former Imperialist Malaysia have been reporting similar findings, with regards to India. A partitioning of our respective areas of influence in the region would be most conducive to our continuing good relations.

@OOC: At dldnjstjr and TerrisH, i'll deal with each of you independently, since Vietnamese and Chinese relations tend to be stormy at best... the "findings" well be released to you both if you should so desire, no sense in giving the Communist Brethren cause to distrust each other now is there ;)
