Survey (gauging interest for my return to hosting!

So I'm about ready to try to get back into the hosting field, and I just had a burst of inspiration for a Mistborn-themed large game (many limited use power roles, a few vanillagers, one scum team, one major power role), but I'm not sure we can get the turnout required ( I need at least 24, I think)

I will host a game beginning March 14. If I get 15 yeses for that on this poll by the 8th, I will step up recruiting and try to make that work. Otherwise, I'll host either a traditional MNotw or the more experimental Malignant Spirits.

Please vote for your preference of Mnotw or Malignant Spirits, and also vote if you're in for the big game.

I'm a transplant from GiantitP, and I'm game, but I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with every game choice you have listed. Have you got a link or resource for me to peruse?

Welcome! Sorry things are relatively fallow right now. I've been keeping tabs on the giantitp forum, but I haven't actually played there. I think the biggest difference between there and here is that what roles are present seems to often be listed in the games there, and almost never is here. We also have more of a penchant for multiple scum team games.


With regard to the games I've proposed:

Traditionally NotWs differed from Mafia in that there were public role names and they were set in the Fall From Heaven universe (Civ IV mod, I'll include a link to the wiki for it if we go that way). They also tended to have more/stranger power roles, but that difference was relatively fuzzy. NOTW LV is a decent example of my work, but you can look through them all in that link. Since this would be a smaller game, it might or might not have multiple scum teams.


Mistborn is a book series http://mistborn.wikia.com/wiki/Mistborn_Wiki . I don't think anyone here necessarily knows it, and no knowledge will be required. The game would be VERY loosely inspired by the first book.

I laid a vote for the large game, despite knowing nothing about it, if only because we need more (any!) large games at CFC.

I'd also love to see a large(ish) game set up here. Though you'd definitely have to whore yourself out a bit Auto in terms of getting publicity for a CFC game.
