The reason for these UI is more about where it originated from (in its modern form). The first open-air museums originated in Scandinavia. Sweden has a lot of open-air museums (compared to our population), 27 according to wiki (can't verify that). So, the "modern" ice hockey was invented by English soldiers in Canada, "Modern" golf has its roots in Scotland. The first major open-air museum was in in Stockholm (Skansen), but nowadays the concept exists everywhere.
I am ok with this. Most unique things in Civ aren't that unique.

Not just that, but there are many more electronics factories outside of Japan than in Japan and there are more film studios outside the United States than in it.

Go far enough down this road of discussion, and you realize that the only 'Uniques' are where terrain and climate provide obstacles or opportunities not readily available anywhere else. Anything relying strictly on human ingenuity will also be subject to human copying if the need is there.
Not everyone built pyramids because not everyone needed to build pyramids, but in the post-Modern Era world, everyone uses electronic devices and utilizes mass media entertainment, so film and electronics are virtually universal.

The difference between those two is that film invariably shows off the culture of the civ/state manufacturing the film, so film becomes a Cultural Influence phenomena. See the tremendous influence of both Hollywood and Bollywood, or what amounts to a Cultural War between the Arabic/Moslim culture programming in Turkish and Egyptian TV/movie production, which between them have a virtual stranglehold on most of the Moslem world.
Electronics, by contrast, is electronics. Whether I have a device made/designed in Scandinavia or Silicon Valley, they are going to use roughly the same principles of physics and materials, and the real difference is the source of the Media (back to the film sources, again) they can access or the universality of their access to Communications and Information Services, which is why we live in the Information (that most people don't understand or can't evaluate so they will ignore the implications of) Era.

I was late to the Mali discussion so I might as well be late to the Sweden one too!

As much as I still would've preferred The Lion of the North or Carolous Rex, Kristina's model looks great and I love her personality in here! She was a great choice to give Sweden that surprising culture focus (though those extra scientist points help if you still want to go for that scientific victory). Now if only Sweden can create a band called Sabaton so they can play 2 songs in particular!

I don't suppose anyone here has been saving screenshots of the UUs in the history timeline have they? They have all looked cool in their own way (the Toa even had Moana included) but the Carolean's face in the last one takes the cake! It looks like he's leading the charge into the Pelannor Fields!

Queen Kristina is actually a very interesting character from history, interested in the more intellectual things and a true renaissance person, so kind of "unswedish" for the time. A devout catholic and famous for indirectly
killing off contemporary genius Descartes by bringing him to the cold north.
