Of all the culture groups, none is more underpresented than Polynesia, even moreso than India.

So I've decided to make some units for this group.

First up is a Swordsman:

Looks fantastic!

Can you show us a pedia icon too? :) Where`s the civ color?

I haven't made the Civilipedia yet I usually do that last. As for Civ color I didn't put any on him, as it would ruin the look I was going for(artistic license) But you can still tell what civ hes apart of by the circle border thingy if you have that turned on.

Hmm... I agree the civ color lowers a bit the quality of the unit, but having it with no civ color means it will only, only be usable as an UU. :)

Well, some people don't like having the team color disc on, especially since it looks bad in the zoomed out view. :) Just saying. :)

What if you want to make an "Island Tribal Wars of Pillage and Doom" scenario, or something and you don`t like color discs? I don`t mind that this unit has no civ-color, but I would suggest you find a way to include it in your other units. You could make them look both artistic and more usable, I`m sure of it, I like your unit designs :)

Thankyou Stormrage I appreciate the complement :goodjob: I guess I just have to try harder with my next unit(a pikeman).

Heres the Polynesian lineup so far:

Voyaging Canoe: Replaces Curragh and Galley
Polynesian Warrior: Replaces Warrior(Utahjazz)
Polynesian Spearman(Utahjazz): Replaces Spearman
Samoan Clubman:Replaces Medival Infantry(Kinboat).
Polynesian Frigate:Replaces Frigate(Aaglo)

As you can see, not much there.

A lot of the Polynesian societies had complex systems of tattoos for social status. How about experimenting with some civ-colored tattoos.

One of my things further down the "definitely someday" list is a large map covering from Indonesia to the South Pacific as far as Hawaii (and maybe Easter Island) for an "East is a Big Bird" exploration and colonization scenario.

If people are actually doing scenarios taking place in tropical islands... I might get the motivation to work again at my tropical interface which I started last summer and never finished. :D

interesting idea, although I'm not sure how to implement it on the paper doll.
