The second thing I learned is that without interest I rather lack the discipline to continue to run such an enterprise if I'm not engaged by it.

As for the setting, partially my fault because I too have somewhat limited interest in the more ancient times, which shows I'm afraid.

A real shame this died (sending a few minutes of story-related brainstorming to the rubbish bin), but many "first NESes" ended up like this, without hindering a mod's future career, in many cases helping it by giving him useful experience. Hopefully your next one will be more succesful.
