Tattoos

I discourage you wholeheartedly from mixing ink to your natural body. Instead introduce your wife to Alizee's images. And ask if she will consider getting any of her tattoos. If she reacts somewhat jealously -- case is closed. No one is getting anything, to regret it later. When Adam Levine will get out of fashion and some bold guy with mustaches takes his place. Female preferences change every year or so I was told.

I feel that I can be honest with you guys, were all Civ Fanatics here right? Well my wife keeps going on about how awesome Adam Levine is. One of the things she really likes is all his tattoos. So I'm going to get some more ink just to make her happy. I'm thinking of the golden disk waiting icon the curser turns to while Civ loads with the words "One more turn" on or around it. I think it should be in Latin because thats probably what Adam Levine would do. Can anyone here put "one more turn" into good Latin for me please?

Once inked, what's a bit more ink? Sounds like she isn't being particularly demanding about what you get, and you've picked something that expresses your interests. Cool!

I also note that nowhere in your post do you ask for approval of tattooing, or marital advice...so take my approving tone as being more directed at countering the other responses than as giving you approval you didn't ask for and don't need.

As to the Latin translation you did ask for, I am no help whatsoever.

So, can we hear from the OP himself?

My original idea of the Civ wait curser doesn't look very good when it made to be 3-4 inches. I still like "One more turn" in latin but can not be certain of the proper translation. Latin is very confusing. Planning to get it done this summer.

That's not a spearman defeating a tank.

I am not impressed.

Well done!

I think all tattoos should feature the words "And here's something I'll be regretting in 10 or 20 years" somewhere in their design. Or something along those lines.

Just to cover all bases, as it were.

I'll count myself lucky if my tattoo tops the list of regrets 20 years hence.

You have to go really far down my list of regrets to find anything I've done. Things I didn't fill at least the top forty.

The older I get, the more I think about getting a tattoo somewhere.. I am far less likely to regret it later, since there's less time left overall until ascension/death/whatever. It needs to be something really really good though, or else I just know it's possible that I'm going to hate it in 10 years time..

My only idea so far is "This side down." on the bottom of my right foot, but I haven't committed to anything yet.

If a woman told me to alter my body to look like a rock star I'd... well, probably not do it.

I'd continue sleeping with her though if she was hot... maybe saying, "yeah maybe I'll get that tattoo" if necessary.
