Tea time in Britain and India

I've never heard tea time used to describe lunch.

You know... tea time!

Supper is a light snack (crumpets perhaps) just before going to bed. Unless you live in Scotland, when "supper" means "and chips", a fish supper = fish and chips.

I never have supper and I haven't (to my knowledge) known anyone who does.

If I get up in the morning (which is rarely), I have breakfast, then lunch about 11-1, then another lunch about 3-4, then dinner at 6-8

Tea is either a cuppa with perhps bickies or similar late afternoon or a very early dinner, especially an early dinner for small children before the adults have a later meal after they go to bed.

Evening meal is "tea" between 5-7 and "dinner" after 8.

I went to Britain when I was a teenager, I didn’t like it much. I couldn’t find a decent public toilet anywhere!
