Welcome Saemon, to the ranks of the AMAZONs.
The ceremony took a while to put together, but that is because it is bigger and more elaborate than the one's we've had in the past.
The ceremonies get bigger as Team AMAZON gets bigger, because we not only celebrate Saemon's initiation with this celebration, but also Team AMAZON.
This is because Team AMAZON gets stronger with each new member.
Also there are more AMAZONs each time to make new recruits feel welcome.
Another wayward AMAZON has come home.
Saemon had traveled long on a pilgrimage to find his place in the world.
It had been a sanctimonious journey, though one fraught with perils and pitfalls.
One day while walking in the woods, Saemon happened to meet a scouting AMAZON,
or to put it more correctly the scouting AMAZON allowed herself to be spotted by the wandering Saemon.
Saemon described the journey of self-discovery that had begun many a year ago.
This particular AMAZON scout, Dora, being quite perceptive, knew at once what Saemon was looking for.
Dora told Saemon about the AMAZON village that was nearby and told him to follow her.
Saemon was greeted by the sound of trumpets and escorted by several AMAZONs to where all the action was.
The scene that greeted Saemon was as vibrant and lively as could be thought possible.
Everywhere AMAZONs were enjoying themselves and participating in exercises and war dances.
An AMAZON offered Saemon a little drink to get the evening started.
By this time the drink was in full effect and it made the fireworks display held in Saemon's honor all the more colorful and beautiful.
After the fireworks had died down, another drink was offered to Saemon.
Another round of fireworks were set off by enthusiastic AMAZONs, this one bigger and more moving than the first.
When those fireworks too had died down, Saemon found yet another drink offered and accepted graciously.
Saemon knew instinctively that this was home.
Apparently the AMAZONs in charge of the fireworks had been drinking a bit too much and decided to light everything within reach.
An explosion of color lit the night sky and the whole encampment was bathed in fluorescent light,
and AMAZONs here and there stopped their drinking and partying to gaze out over the place they called home.
This time when the fireworks slowed to a halt, they did not restart again.
Either everything had already been set off by the fireworks team or the partying had finally caught up with them.
Saemon watched as three lovely AMAZON warriors put on a dazzling display of bladesmanship in something that was part combat, part dance.
The three bladedancers introduced themselves to Saemon when they had finished.

Each of them in turn said, "Well met, Saemon" and reaffirmed their vows to protect all AMAZONs and the AMAZON way.
The night seemed to last forever and Saemon was invited to partake in all sorts of drinking games and dances too wild and crazy to be shown here.
Diana walked into the midst of the party, her armor torn and her body bruised.
The crowd looked to her with worry and excitement in their eyes. "Are you OK?" one of them asked.
Diana just looked off into the night sky for a moment before saying, "I'm fine, but the 800 mounted soldiers who tried to ambush me are not."
They all left it at that, but resumed their partying with even more intensity.
Diana approached Saemon and spoke calmly and confidently:
"Saemon, you are now an AMAZON. All AMAZONs are equal, some more so than others.
Take this golden rope to symbolize the bond shared by AMAZONs everywhere."
There was joy and pride in her voice every time she beheld a new AMAZON.
And so it came to pass that Saemon joined the ranks of the AMAZONs.

Accomodating you in regards to your beer preference will not be difficult since Team AMAZON has a large supply of every kind of beer on hand.
Hopefully you applied to join the Team AMAZON user group on this page. Then you will only have to wait for the game admins to accept the join request and you can see the Team AMAZON private forum at the top of the BTS Multi-Team Demogame II forum.
An iniation ceremony will be held in your honor in this thread this weekend so keep checking back.

SilentConfusion has won a LAST MAN STANDING victory. All challengers have abdicated or been defeated leaving SilentConfusion the official winner.

SilentConfusion has won a LAST MAN STANDING victory. All challengers have abdicated or been defeated leaving SilentConfusion the official winner.
A full blown lightning storm had descended on the AMAZON camp and though unafraid, the AMAZONs had been reduced to drinking inside to celebrate SilentConfusion's recent crowning as the first AMAZON pitboss Ultimate Warrior.
Pitboss, you see, is an ancient AMAZON competition where the competitors anoint their bodies with the Earth of the Great Goddess, Hera, mixed with foam from the sacred Beer-falls, and finally topped off with oil, blessed by Princess Diana herself.
So anointed, the competitors engage in hand to hand combat in a sacred battle-pit, which has been similarly anointed... this is why we call it "Pitboss."
It is rumored that other nations also hold competitions which they also refer to as "Pitboss", but these are not sanctioned by The AMAZON.
The end of a pitboss competition is usually marked with our usual AMAZON celebration, but for the first time ever, Diana announced that we would begin crowning an Ultimate Warrior at the end of each competition, and throw a celebration that was twice as large. Unfortunately, this gala was rained out, and had to be brought inside.
It was an Erie, stormy night and all the AMAZONs were on edge... Just then, someone spotted a dark shadow looming in the distance... The shadowy figure came closer and closer until some AMAZONs were able to identify the mysterious caped shadow...
It's Memphus!... there were gasps and murmurs in the crowd. As Memphus approached... all he said was...
Immediately Memphus was ushered into the great hall, where many questions were posed..."I thought you were dead" some said..."not dead, but even worse... banished" others whisperd..."no no, he was just banned from competition" some replied in hushed tones...
Finally Diana stepped forward and called for silence...
"After conferring with Hera's preistesses and our AMAZON officers, it has been confirmed that Memphus is... and has always been... a true citizen of The AMAZON... and as you all know" ..."All AMAZONs are equal," the crowd chanted in unison.
With that, Memphus was presented with his Golden Rope and welcomed home into The AMAZON.
Everyone Cheered!
