Okay here you can talk about stuff that has nothing to with the game.

the first thing I wanted to talk about was that shouldn't thins be the 3rd MTDG? The last one didn't finish, but can you see how it seems weird to call this one 2?

Because it's the second BTS MTDG? The very first one was vanilla wasn't it?

I guess you're right, but wasn't the last one called CIVMTDG2 or was it BTS MTDG? I could swear it had a two in it (I will go look when I post this). And it might confuse players to say that this is number 2 when it really is the third.

EDIT: I looked and it was just BTS MTDG.

Thanks for the list link16.

What should our capital city be named? I'm thinking it should be named for our patron goddess, Diana.

This makes me think: what is the AMAZON creation myth? Queen Diana founds a city deep in the forest, along the fertile banks of an old river, where everyone is granted freedom, democracy, and beautiful women?

Maybe our acronym can hold the key to our creation... Maybe Queen Zenobia founded the AMAZON nation, in the prehistoric past and Queen Diana is her heir.

Queen Zenobia may have founded AMAZON, but Diana is the goddess behind it all.

Loev wasn't kidding about the crazy dutch stuff.

Can someone help me with keeping my cities happy and healthy early on, because right now I'm just turning on turn off pop growth once I get to even numbers. Oh and I suck at keeping an economy when I expand, I know I shouldn't expand too far, is 6 cities in 0AD okay? And what does one do when your city has everything you want there (like units and buildings).

Prince, Monarch.

In my personal experience Hereditary Rule is the best way to manage happiness and it also is very good at boosting the economy. HR is an awesome civic. If getting sailing allows you to trade for happy resources that can help to.

Monarchy isn't available at the very beginning, but it can be teched pretty soon and it is well worth deviating from other techs. Until you have HR there's only so much you can do to keep people happy like hooking up elephants/gems/gold/fur. If you're charismatic you have an extra two happy face available w/monument. Just grow to happy cap and stop growing or whip some builds and grow back to happy cap.

Once you get HR you can build lots of warriors/chariots/archers who can defend the cities, but more importantly each unit = 1 happy. Now you can grow your cities as large as you want, when you want to grow just build another cheap unit. At this point you can grow to large city sizes, but make sure you build enough workers to improve the tiles you're working. HR with cottages is a very good way to recover from early expansion.

I learned that health cap is not really a limit. Nothing bad happens when a city is unhealthy (just minus 1 food). If you are growing so much that you grow past healthy cap you probably have extra food to spare so trading 1 food production for another citizen who can work an improved tile is very worth it. The main effect of the health cap is that once you get past it your growth rate slows.

Those are just what I've learned, and others may have better advice.
