teaser for FfH II version 0.16

In the third picture you can see a hellfire tile in the background (those are created by the hellfire ritual and spawn demons).

Neat!
Since the Sheaim are the Armageddon civ, how about their Eaters of Dream being able to build additional hellfires after research of the Armageddon tech?

Normally the demons that came out would attack them so that wouldn't be very useful for them.

Wow hate mail for a civ 4 mod? What is the world coming too.

:goodjob:

Do worker build orders count as normal actions?
If so, I guess it should be possible to forbid building additional hellfires unless the ritual is built with def cannotHandleAction in CvGameInterface.py

Update
so, this is just to show off Rabbits fantastic Claw- and (little bit older) Hoodmesh. With jaguar animation this Guy is the ultimate killer (graphically and gameplaywise)

Is it just me or is that Wolveine from the Xmen:confused:

The community is awesome, and the responce to the mod has been much more positive and and overwhelming than I ever imagined. I gets tons of good feedback, but occasionally (1-2 times a month) I'll get a nastygram from someone.

Its not a big deal, just a consequence of the mod being somewhat popular. It usually has to do with some percieved broken feature that we havent fixed yet. But sometimes its a hate mail about the more graphic aspects of the mod. Usually pictures that they believe are to scary for kids. Oddly I have never gotten a complaint about all of the stories about demon worship, murder and rape that are in the pedia. I guess these folks don't like to read.
Judging by the fact that you got, what, 10,000 downloads? That means about .1% are unhappy enough to write you about it. Not too shabby.

I for one wouldn't show FfH in it's current form to kids, say, jr high or younger. (Though I doubt kids that age would even enjoy civ unless they were especially precosious.) Do parents really let their kids download things unsupervised? Sheesh.

Okay, I added the Hellfire spell. It spawns a hellfire tile as recomended. It requires the caster to be at peace with the barbarians to cast, and Entropy 3 and Divine (so basically Veil High Priests and a few heroes can cast it).

Sweet. Will it be limited to one per caster? That might be best, considering that we don't want them spammed or anything.

Cant be within 3 tiles of another hellfire tile.

W00t! :goodjob:

Btw, I'm wondering, if you built the Hellfire ritual but are 50% more powerful than the second most powerful player, will your peace with the barbarians immediately be broken again?
I hope not, for Hellfire is of course a nice way to speed up the endgame if you're already in the lead. A doublewin in Kaelspeak. ;)

No, Hellfire peace doesn't turn off like the barbarian trait.

Wow, almost forgot about that Pirates, nice now i have some more Models to work with (only few, cause most of the Clothes are very piratish ;) but the Female could be very usefull )

Im adding a lot of spell effects in. Especially for the ranged spells it really helps to see what tile is being hit. Here is an example of a priest of the veil hitting a stack of orcs with a pillar of fire spell (it looks much better in action than in a static screenshot).

To the left you can see a Ring of Warding around a city, that also looks much better animated.

Sez, that Doviello Beserker is awesome-

I normally dont play as the doviello or the Clan, but just seing how awesome their units look, I cant wait to play and crush fairy little elves and the hippy elohim!

You and kael are going to make me fail out of medical school :(

What? You think its wrong for a junior high kid to see bloodless violence?

This game is as mild as it gets. You are overprotective.

Quite possibly. Actually having kids will change my outlook, I'm sure. Though it really has little to do with violence. Actually, now that I think about it, I take it back, I don't really have problems with the content, either, for the most part. I'd still want to monitor their playing though--it's so addictive.

Violence, xxx content, and scary stuff has not much lasting impact on a child anyways. Sure the kid might be scared for a while by violence, and get nightmares by the scary stuff, and ask questions about the xxx content. But what really makes a lasting impact on kids is when their parents fight in front of them, being neglected by those who should care for them, and abuse.

I like Nikis-Knight, think that the problem with games is that its too addictive and makes the person loose time he/she could spend doing other things, like reading, doing exercises, studying, etc
