Term 3: Embassy to C3B

Somebody also suggested we cooperate with C3B and attack other civ's with AC+immortal. I guess this is also a pretty good plan, but can we really trust C3B enough to go this way? Also I think this plan was introduced before we found iron...

In this very moment we are weaker than C3B. But I think that by time we'll become stronger and stronger, relatively. Of course because of the Statue of Zeus, but also once we have our iron hooked up (though I wonder if horsemen aren't more useful against immortals on grasslands & plains) and have a the land bridge decently defended.

And for your second post, dccdis, I think that depends on the map. If one has to pass the other to attack a third civ, I don't think either of us will trust the other enough, which is not more than logical.

Would someone please point out how exactly C3B is militarily superior to us?
C3B plays as the Persians and will have Immortals as soon as they connect their Iron source. Our Iron source is on another continent and we only get Swordsmen.

Besides, a war will be expensive and if we complete it succesfully, we will be behind the other teams for some time. Though in the end it would have made us a lot stronger of course.

I don't think so. Usually, the game develops in a different manner. The weaker country gets more weak and the stronger country gets more strong. What we can do, is try to shorten the gap and try to keep up with military build up. Counting on horsemen requires the knowledge of The Wheel and presence of horses. Since we don't know what is this wheel thing, there is no point to discuss the horsemen. IMO, having horses might be very unlikely in this game.

The C3B letter isn't that far from the "All" side of our "All or nothing" proposal-draft.
Let's reply to them our (editted and updated) "all or nothing" proposal.

I want to cooperate 100% with C3B. Who else does ?

I think we should vote soon on the all or nothing deal and get it done with. I want it and I am sure it would help us a lot.

I'm still fifty fifty regarding it...

They treat us like crap outside of an alliance; How do we know that they will show us respect inside an alliance :mischief:

Haven't they already answered that with their last letter without us questioning?

Let's just play along. We should always stay suspicious about their intensions, though. But right now I would give them the benefit of the doubt.

A letter I got today:
I´ll try to be more objective, i will say a few times and you say which you prefer, if anyone is good you propose one, ok?

(always GMT)
*Wednesday, Thursday or Friday at 18h

This chat would be a replacement for the last one? Our chats at Saturday are still up right?

Anyone for me is fine

I speak for C3B when I say: We hope that we are puting our differences away and building a very big alliance, immortals and javelins walking together

I will wait for your answer.

Joker, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Please take note of what they said: I speak for C3B when I say: We hope that we are puting our differences away and building a very big alliance, immortals and javelins walking together

I think now is the time for the double or nothing deal.

Also I will ask for the chat to be 21:00 GWT on wedsday. I wish I would have it earlyer but with my summer school I can't. Now I really need Rik or whoever made that double or nothing deal to make a poll about it to see if we want to present it or now. I don't think I should since I had no hand in making that plan and rik can present it better :p

That's pretty much the same as what they said in the previous letter.

Again, I think they already answered that. C3B: "We want to be allies." CFC: "Do you want to be allies or not?" :crazyeye: I was against it, but now that they've already given their intention, I think we should just play along.

Again, I won't be available, but I'd like to give my suggestions what should be discussed:
1. Previous deals has only let to confusion and frustration on both sides. Let's be reserved when making new deals, and only make new ones when an absence of a deal will lead to some sort of conflict.
For my part, you could just copy-paste this text and present it to them.
2. We have a curragh. Do you think we'll have to pass their territory? If so, we might have to reconsider their proposal on this.
3. There is a good chance there will be other civs north to them, but there won't be any south to us, so "walking side by side" is no problem for us. That's why I say: play along. The only disadvantage of an alliance will be that our reputation will be heavily damaged when we do attack them. But that won't be an issue in the near future.

Matrix, this is the answer for your second question:
Since they have no cities on the western side of the continant we can use a boat to go up there to find another nation. The red on this map is where we could go.

Hm, but then I sent the curragh the wrong way. That's only two turns lost then though.

By the way, even a curragh can cross the water where the javalin thrower is in your picture. :p

NOTICE: I will be away friday untill Monday, due to a rafting trip. I will not ask for a meeting on staterday unless I can have someone promis me they will do it in my place.

Lookie what was sent to me by JokerDF:

I have just sent you the agreement for the alliance.

Oh! I bird told me of a big alliance on the other continent between GCA and CDZ, I really hope that our alliance became true.

Comments?

Yes. He mentioned the other alliance for me to, as I've posted in the "Letter from C3B" thread. I wonder how they know...

Possibly they have met someone from the other contient?

If it is true, I don't like it!

Neither do I.

GCA and CDZ alliance? :ack: Two main rivals maybe... in an alliance... We should try and find our how they know.

Do I sence a epic rivalry forming :p

Maybe they have to sorces in other teams or someone sliped up. I think we should ask them if they have meet someone else.
