I had 1 hut which gave me a map that reveal ice, ice and more ice, both land and sea. It appears i'm at the north pole and unless there are some narrow land connection extending east or west i'm very much alone. I have 2 deer, 2 crabs and a fish for resources in the area i can actually see. With that i can have a decent capital, a below average 2nd city and a very marginal 3rd one.

Right now i have two warriors exploring to see if the land east and west of me goes anywhere, if not i'll just AI myself and be done with it
 
Robi, there's only one thing to be done: Rename yourself to leader "Santa Claus". I shall rename myself Emperor. Emperor Penguin, that is.

Seriously, there appears to be 3 ppl with nothing but ice... that's not normal at all.
 
Grant 2004 and Lord Parkin both started with Mysticism, and coincidentally both have yet to hit a tech. Grant also started with Mining, so he could be going BW. If he was dead set on the religion, he could have already hit Meditation with his 3:gold crabs.

I think Grant gets Bronze working and Parkin gets Meditation.
 
Apologies in advance in case I'm the one holding up the game later. Won't have access to a computer with civ for at least another 9 hours.
 
Champino: you know you can put Civ on a USB thumb ftibr and run anywhere that has DirectX9 installed.

But I did not start with fishing, so those crabs are unworkable.

What else lives at the south pole? If you're going to be the emperor penguin I can't be another penguin without recognizing you as my overlord. Maybe I can be a geographically confused polar bear?

You add yourself, details are probably in the first post. You register an account first, then find the game, then register your details that way.
 
classical_hero, you've been the only one left to play in this turn for several hours now. :)

Six or so more hours and you'll miss your turn, so better hurry up. ;)
 
His normal playing time is generally within the next three hours...he should be fine...;)
