Just to foreshadow the eventual discussion on the subject.
I am perfectly ok with any sub of mine having already subbed for someone else and likewise I am happy for someone that has subbed for me being somebody elses sub.
I would however add a caveat that I would prefer that they do not sub for civs which are at war with each other (i.e. 1 week civ A 2nd week civ B, both civ A & B are at war). Obviously it is nicer to try and find subs that have not subbed elsewhere but if it is not possible then it should be allowed imo.
I'm struggling to reset my password... I click "Your Details", and I see "****" in the password box. I clear it and type a new new one. Then I click "OK" and "Exit to Main Menu"
5 mins later my original password still works. New one doesn't.
As already mentioned earlier, trying to reset your password via "Your Details" is bugged and doesn't work. To reset your password, you must follow the following steps:
1. Finish all your moves for the turn, and hit enter.
2. Resign (switches your civ to AI temporarily, but doesn't do any damage if you've finished turn).
3. Log back into the game immediately. You will take the civ back from the AI and be able to set a new password in the place you usually type in your password to enter the game.
4. Log out again.
It's a convoluted method, but it's the only one that works.
All that was needed here was a map checker, a two minute glance would have confirmed the woefullness of some of the starts and a quick regeneration would have solved the issue
Thing is with this many people at least one person is going to have an atrocious start for one reason or another. Someone is always just going to have to suck it up and play on nonetheless.
