Thanks! ....

Eddy, could you let me know what features are Conquest features? I have Civ III Complete so I don't know what features were added with Conquest.

Hello guys, I just joined but I've been watching the forums for a while. Just thought it's time I step out into the light and join the community. I want to tell TETurkhan he's f'ing awesome.
Here's some stuff I've been working on with ToT. I'm in the process of changing the units into Munits. This is taking alot of time. But I just have to do it after I found STEPHS utitlity. If anyone else is interested in doing this and would like to help me, drop me one. Just a note though, replacing regular units with Munits could (I haven't tested it yet) seriously hamper performance speed.
Another thing I changed in ToT was I disabled settlers for every race. I did this because I just find a bunch of things wrong with Romans and Zulus trying to colonize Siberia. Not to mention it creates MAJOR lag with the map full of cities (or was it the barbarians). It also just keeps the geographical integrity of my scenario experience. Well that's all I got, please don't flame me! :nospam:

Okay, it got farther this time; I got the game through the setup menus, but now it's crashing because it doesn't have the dinosaur unit files. Can I get them anywhere?

(FWIW, this is taking me a long while because the internet is down at my house; I have to download at work, burn a CD, and then go home.)

Best bet is to dl an scenario editor from the utility threads and remove the dinos, since you don't have the dinos, which came with PTW, I'm sure you probably don't have Conquest editor neither.

No, I have the Conquests CD ...

Screw it. If that doesn't work, I'll just go buy the box set with everything in it.

Okay, now it's working. Killed all the dinos and replaced a few of them with Barbarian encampments for balance. Still sad to see them go, though; anyone have any suggestions for downloadable units to replace them?

Well, this is just me, I like ****s and giggles :P I made new unit using TETurkhan's robo armor and called it Ultra Gear or something like that. I loaded it with everything I got to work with, including nuke. Set the AI to allow it to randomly choose what it wants to be.. ie offense, defense, nuke. The worst it can do is just bomb your city and make life hell for your workers. So it's all for fun. But that's just me.

This mod is awesome! I can't play without it now :)

Thanks for making such a great mod :)

i can't really point you to them, but all the extra files that came with PTW, but were not in Conquests, are a free download from the civ3 homesite.

Hail thee !
I've spent a lot of time watching this forum , so I want to join to ask some questions and suggestions .
What period of history is base for placing cities and giving it to cirtain nation ? I asked that because many cities belonged to different nations in different ages...

Tet,
I've been a fan for years, but come on, time to cut to the chase!!!

Is 2.0 EVER going to happen or not? I've been waiting for over 1.5 YEARS for your promise of 2.0. Either get it out, or not...but just let us know. whatever....

I can't speak for TETurkhan, but the project is /NOT/ abandoned.

nice one. could you post a test of time map with no barbs? theres several things i can do with it.

Since the next version is still in development, I'd like to make some suggestions. I've personally taken to modding my own version of the Tet mod while waiting for the next version to come. One of my changes was to create special "Explorer units" that are given for free to exploraring countres like Spain. Because sea movement is so slow and it takes dozens of turns to cross an ocean, I gave these special exploration units 10+ moves to make sure they could actually be of use and loaded them up with colonists. I also made them buildable higher up in the tech tree. For flavor, I renamed the starting units with names like Columbus, Diaz, and Magellan.

Again, great mod! I was surprised when I saw the AI actually building armies! The Turks had a military academy, an army in their city and was working on building another!

I don't what I'm going to do if I'm ever at war against their currently (last I saw at least) 28 hitpoint army :)
