TETurkhan Test of Time (Map & Mod)

I have a question. Does Universal Suffrage and The Pentagon reduce war weariness cumulatively? Would building both be better than buliding just one or the other?

I think Eddy is right. It seems to work in my mod so far as cumulative.

TET 2.0 appears to be a no-show :( YEARS of waiting, and waiting, and waiting, yes YEARS (not days, weeks, or months)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.93 mod doesn't even load clean under conquests anymore :(

wow, what a long way downhill for an originally great mod pack!

Tet, you alive or not. 2.0 or not? step up to the plate man, or not.

What do you mean it doesn't load clean? It seems to work fine for me.

• Multiple Scenarios and 'Sub' Scenarios that are all inter-linked via a newly created utility
• Over 100 new units that have never been posted before
• Over 100 new WonderSplashes along with title pages
• New music
• New City Graphics, resources etc that bring the map to life
• RPG element via an engaging storyline that will break the monotony that sometimes settles into games
• New concepts that utilize the editor in ways that are very creative - not to mention add many levels of strategic depth far beyond the game in its original form

I am not just giving you more of the same. I am not focused only on units or other graphics etc. Instead I am trying to create something that heightens game play experience. I feel very confident in the way Test of Time is progressing and I think it will go down as one of the Great Mods for Civ3.

Sure it has been a long wait - but that is only because of the scope of the project and of course balancing the demands of life outside of Civ ;)

TET, I appreciate all your work, but Civ 4 comes out this summer. Will version 2.0 be out BEFORE that? Or are you planning on resetting everything and rebuilding your mod to take advantage of Civ 4's new editor?

Honestly, I think once these scenarios are completed that will be it for my work creating mods for Civilization3. I like to take things further to a new level, by either working for a reputable company in the industry or go about establishing my own.

As for when it will be done –I will try my best to get all the scenarios out before Civ4. That would be ideal and with so much of the core work finished I think it is realistic to say it will be done before summer.

Thank friking goodness that the project is still up. And it looks like it might even be worth the year and a half long wait. Two things though, TET:

-By 100 new ones, do you mean new scenarios or what?
-Will you be bringing your uber modding skills to Civ4?

I don't think he spent his time making 100 senarios, but most likely the ones in the important periods of time, like the crusades, WWII and WWI, The Cold War Era, The Ancient Ages, Rise and Fall of Rome, etc.

I know many people are tired of wating but keep in mind these scenarios are amongst the best ever made for Civ3. I didn't want to give players more of the same. Creating a new version of the Mod with more units, more techs etc doesn't appeal to me. Instead I wanted to create a different feel, a different way to play, and push what can be done with the editor. So when you play these scenarios, it will feel like you are playing a new game.

The only problems I have had lately is getting help doing a few odd things such as artwork, units & creating an install etc. Well when push comes to shove, it’s surprising what people can do. The graphic end of things has never been my forte for example; but I took it on, and in the last few months have become quite good at it.

All of you just be patient a little bit longer. The only thing you need to worry about is making room on your hard drive for the download because it is huge (over 800MB).

Test of Time Scenarios will be released before Civ4 comes out.

I can't wait for your mod to be finished TET. Test of Time was the first mod I played with Civ3 and I never could even look at the vanilla game again. It encouraged me to mod again after so many years and to mod further than I ever had. The title screen looks beautiful. I'm patiently awaiting this gaming experience you keep teasing. :coffee:

EddyG17 answered your question right. America as the country it is today did not exist until the late middle ages or later.
