TexNes I: The Rise of Europe

Update #2
1491

And the Britsh came...

See spotlight...

Axum Empire Defeated Again

The Arabians advanced, with their mighty armies, and although the Axum's had many forces, they seemed undeployed and undirected. They Attacked wiping the small militias out of the Arabian Peninsula, and advanced down the nile river valley.

Casualties:
Arabia - 10 000 troops
Axum Empire -20 000 troops.

Greece Strikes again!

Greece was back again hungry for more. Their well trained armies advanced towards constantinople, but ground to a halt after meeting sharp resistance at the gates of constantinople. To the north they held the line solid against the Moldovians, except near the border with Hungary, where a large formation of soldiers made a breakthrough, assisted by the peasants in the area.

Casualties
Greece - 10 000 men
Moldovia - 10 000 men - 4000 peasants.

Arabia and Greece advance into a new age of Prosperity!

And so it was. The Arabian expedition landed. They landed not anywhere in the known world. They landed in a strange continent, the first to do so. Their sailors had worked almost around the clock since setting of sail. With one ship being lost due to stormy weather. They landed, the first in all the old world to do so. If others will follow, in due time, this world found may become a base for many countries. But for now arabia is sole protector.

Greek geniuses also advanced into the era, with increased spending in the education, but did not send any expeditions into the unknow land across the sea...

Arabia Advances into Colonization Age.
Greece Advances into Colonization Age.

P.S. You have to be in Colonization age to succesfully make it across (Arabia just attained it this turn, and set sail, by chance)

Spotlight

The British Came, and AGAIN France did nothing, and although Arabia sent troops to help, many were killed by the "Fireships" employed by the British. Also the Celtic Federation were quite lenient, doing Absolutally nothing, leading to more gains for the British in the north, taking back almost all land.

Casualties
Arabia - 5000 troops
Celtic Federation - 20 000 troops - 4 ships
Britain - 4 ships - 10 000 troops - 3 000 Brittania -2 000 home guard

Random Events

In Britain the people have more confidence in their leader after a series of inspirational Speeches (+1 confidence)

The increased industrialization of England has brought upon new jobs, too many in fact, with some plants laying mothballed with not enough workers... but unemployment has been eliminated (-1 industry + 1 culture)

Ok there it is...

Dachspmg, whered those 3 economy points for your project come from?

I'm not sure...I guess that's what I'm spending part of the next turn's eco points on. Looks like I forgot to erase one of the things I was going to spend on. Oops.

To The World
From Arabia

Something does exsist beyond the sea! The world must be round, not flat. We must ignore what our religions have taught us..the world is a sphere!

To Greece
From Arabia

We are the most advanced nations in the world. Why don't we split this unknown world between ourselves? We are the most worthy to control these new lands, no one else. What do you say?

To: Arabia
From: Ming China

what are you talking about? you came to us hundreds of years ago already... why would you be surprised land exist beyond seas o_0

To China
From Arabia

Ahem..TO THE WEST. Something exsists to west. (In your case, the east)

To: Arabia
From: Greece

Arabia and Greece may have discovered a new land, but this does not entitle us to membership of an elite club. It is ethically wrong to deny other nations a part in a vast new land that we would have problems controlling by ourselves anyway, just because we got there a little before everyone else. On the practical side, not only would Arabia and Greece have problems controlling it just by ourselves, but what happens when other countries get there, too? It seems a bad idea to limit such a great discovery to ourselves.

To Greece
From Arabia

You are right..we got ahead of our selves. We should set up our spheres of influence however..but to discourage massive expansionism, perhaps we can sign a treaty entitling us to a certain amount of land in this new world? This discovery is massive, and of course it is first come first serve.

oh Thomander i used yours, just didnt put em in update... i'll fix em in stats
which ive also gotta do

PS. Great update Crazy Canuck!
Don't you think I should get some eco. and ind. points for taking back Scotland? Also, please note my orders went like this: 'Secondly, I'm spending all those industry points on improving the training of the military. If that's not possible then I'll spend them on Brittania-soldiers instead.'

The huzzah! Fighting for survival!

EDIt: Texas, can i create vassal states/nations or will that be too much hassle? those empty spaces between me and asia looks tempting, but i don't feel like repeating the mongol's mistake...
