TexNes I: The Rise of Europe

Update #1
1490

The Year of Turmoil.

Several nations this year expressed a serious lack of leadership and resultantly did absolutely nothing. Several projects were started.

War in Britain:
(see spotlight)

Axum Empire Invaded!

Arabia has invaded the Axum Empire! They attacked en-mass into the Area on the Saudi Arabian Penninsula as well as into Egypt, with Significant gains, as the Axum Generals seemed at a loss, finally they managed to reform and hold the Arabians, but much land was lost as well as the Vital port of Alexandria and much of the land in Egypt. The Arabians came forward in a 30 000 man strong army, which basically over ran the defenders.

Casualties: Arabia -5 000 troops -1 ship
Axum Empire - 12 000 - 2 ships

Moldovia at War!

Another of the Unlucky nations this year was Moldovia. With their well prepared armies, and good war plans, the Army of Greece advanced Capturing Land all the way up to Hungary on the Coast, and almost over to Constantinople in the East, but were halted mainly in the center, by the rough terrain and dogged fighting of the few units in the area.

Casualties: Moldovia - 5000 troops
Moldovia - 1 economy
Greece -2 000 troops
Greece + 1 economy

Riots in Venitra!

In the Streets of Venitra there were riots following yet another year of trade deficits and poor policies, and armed rebellions have started in the northern regions.

Spotlight

War in England.

The Celts, hoping for help, received none, as the French Government seemed mothballed in a sense. But still they attacked, in both the North and South, but were met on all fronts by a seemingly larger better trained and better organized British army. They had massive reserves, and a larger army. Although the Celts made slight gains in the North, the main story was the British retaking most of Wales, and making a spearhead of their own in the North.

Casualties British -5000 Britania - 2000 home guard - 5000 troops
Celts -10 000 troops

To Axum Empire
From Arabia

As we speak, the glorious Arab soldiers poor deeper into Egypt, poised to eliminate your pitiful empire. Cede to us the Nile valley, and we might think of sparring your useless kingdom.

Hooo deeee hum and a bottle of rum.

Shouldn't I get an eco. level from the schmucks to my west for retaking most of Wales and parts of Scotland (I only lost a thin piece of land in the northwest).
----------

To the Celtic Confederacy

We outnumber you hopelessly. Should even the unthinkable happen we will still conscript far more troops then your whole army. Surrender to us Scotland and you may keep Ireland or foolish resist and be destroyed.

The King of Britannia has spoken.

Aaah! My troops advanced too far! Oh well, it is all to my advantage...

I finally get to attack in a war! w00t!

To Celtic Confederacy
To Arabia

Your so called allies, the French seem to be aiding you QUITE well. Arabia shall supply you 15,000 troops, as well as special trading perks in Alexandria..but in return we request payment, when the English are weakened beyond repair.

To Greece
From Arabia

Hail friends! We have put aside our long gone war, and I propose to you something else. We Arabs grow weary of our eternal conflict with the west..we wish to ease this conflict, so we propose to you this.

We'll allow 10,000 Greek pilgrims a year, to visit Jerusalem and visit the Christian holy sights, free of charge.

We'll allow you special trading perks at the Egyptian port of Alexandria.

What do you say, Greek friends?

To Arabia from Britannia

We can hear you...

To Spain, Scandinavia, Rheinland and Germany (and any other germanies)

considered our offer to help us bash Celts for Ireland?
Any takers? Should be easy with the British navy and the british military

PS. To all friends and enemies...
Taking Britannia will be impossible. But the celts will flop.

To Arabia
From France

Who are you to critizie us? Our government was busy last year and it seemed it slippe dour leadrs mind.

To Celtic Confederacy
From France

As you know our govenent forgot something last year. This year we promise you aid.

To: Arabia
From: Greece

That sounds like an excellent idea. Orthodox pilgrims have always wished to be able to visit the holy places of our religion. We graciously accept, and wish that we could do something for Arabia in return for this favor.

To Greece
From Arabia

Maybe one thing..aid against the Axum barbarians? Anything will do, even if all you do is stop trading with them. The Axum people are nothing but barbarian idiots who are rebels to the great Arabian nation.

To Celtic Confederacy, France and Arabia
From Britannia

Three against one, huh? Bring it on!

Ermmm, ModTexasToast... how many conscripts is it possible for me to levy? Please keep in mind, my population should be roughly 5 times as large as the Celtic one.
(Please PM me)
thnx

To Britannia
From Arabia

Shall do. We shall make sure your people suffer as they made us suffer during the Crusades! Our Jihad will be fast and merciless.

*secret*
To France, Celtic Confederacy
From Arabia

As we know, Brittania will slowly gobble up the Celtic Confederacy, unless we all do our part. How about a military alligiance, against this common foe?
*secret*

To France

We never knew you would fall down to attacking another Christendom!
Announce your willingness to fight the English forces or we shall relay a message to the Pope of your infidelity to the Christian cause!

To Arabia

France was much more active during the Crusades. Why have you allied with them?
