TGOM03 - Celts in Space (C3C Demi-god)

Wow. Outstanding! Very, very nice finish folks. As Bede said, this is without any of the GOTM or HOF exploits simply LK rules and no dastardly deeds. :hatsoff:

I must admit I kept waiting for itchy finger Scout to pull his trigger or some type of sub bug to kick in. :D

Turn log
Executive summary: The nukes flew, and boy did they fly:satan:

Turn 0 (1650 A.D.)

Fix the specialists to net us maximum cash and still get ICBM's in 1 turn.

Turn 1 (1655 A.D.)

TJville finishes Stock Exchange, starts ICBM, Camalodunum finishes AEGIS cruiser, starts ICBM, Mayhemium finishes AEGIS cruiser, starts ICBM, Bugsrest finshes Police Station, starts ICBM, Forward Post finishes University, starts ICBM, Last Resort finishes AEGIS cruiser, starts ICBM. (anyone see where this is going?) MM specialists to get Ecology in 4 turns at 100% research, still making 97 gpt.

Turn 2 (1660 A.D.)

Cuzco finishes Cathedral, starts University, Richborough finishes Marine, starts Palace, Lurkersville finishes Manufacturing plant, starts ICBM, Durocortorum finishes Police Station, starts Library.

Turn 3 (1665 A.D.)

GOC finishes Manufacturing Plant, starts ICBM, Nemausus finshes tactical nuke, starts ICBM, Incense Desert finishes library, starts bank, Entremont finishe manufacturing plant, starts ICBM, Idioticum finishes granary, starts library.

Turn 4 (1670 A.D.)

Vilcas finishes courthouse, starts library, Deva finishes Police station, starts
University, Lapurdum finishes granary, starts library.

Turn 5 (1675 A.D.)

Ecology comes in. Iceburg finishes aquaduct, starts library, More Rubber finishes temple, starts libary. MM specialists to get Synthetic fibers in 4 at -34 gpt. Fix the negative gold issue by selling ecology to carthage for 69gpt, then sell it to france for 84 gpt, then decide that Abe needs to join the modern age club, so "sell" him MT for 9 gold, WM, and TM.

Turn 6 (1680 A.D.)

Alesia finishes library, starts ICBM, Glevum finishes Aquaduct, starts library.

Turn 7 (1685 A.D.)

Tjville finishes ICBM, starts another, SwampTown finishes Aquaduct, starts library.

Turn 8 (1690 A.D.)

Spacehog finishes market, starts library. With 1 turn left on Synthetic fibres, rush ICBM's everywhere except Mayhemium, saving that one for Storage/Supply, suddenly realize that I hadn't build thrusters, so switch GOC to that one.

Turn 9 (1695 A.D.)

A bunch of builds complete including thrusters, but I really don't care what the governor picked, its NUKE TIME!!!!! Switch Richborough to exterior casing, and switch Mayhemium to storage/supply. By the way Scout, there was no shield over-run on exterior casing. Decide to see if I can't cause them to declare war, so attempt spy planting, but succeed on france and carthage didn't declare, so I now know the situation of france and its nukeless and nukesubless, so I'm guessing carthage is as well and declare.war all around, then the nukes fly.

And 3 carthaginian cities :D Approximately 75% of the french army, 90% of their airforce, and 95% of their navy vanished from the earth.

Turn 10 (1700 A.D.)

Crash to windows repeatedly on launch button click, so attaching the turn before launch at the end of the turn. Carthage will attack Lapurtunum and a few of our aegis cruisers will get bombed/attacked, but nothing important happens over the IT and we don't get nuked back, so just press enter and launch.

The Save

Really, really good. Nice work, everybody, and a special salute to the Relunctant Warrior and Triggerman for keeping up with the scout and Bede show.

Lots of fun and interesting times for the end of TGOM's Civ3 career. Just the SGOTM9 and gozpel's Deity game to finish and I start my serious study of C4.

So thanks to all who played and lurked. See you in the other world!

Thanks to all of you who patiently taught me so much!!! This has been a great team to play with.

Does that mean you're completely giving up C3C when you finish those games? :( I'll miss you, because I don't plan on going to that other world except to lurk occasionally. Have fun!!! :)

@Team: I really enjoyed this one, thanks!

@Bede: Thanks for hosting it. Sorry to see you leave C3C behind, but maybe we'll get together over a good slugfest if and when I get around to C4.

:hatsoff:

It was fun playing with all of you. I may move over to CIV, I may not, its going to depend on how much free time I have.
