Just finished reading the thread with all the farting bob jokes @ your puns esp. the last one before the closing of the thread. I think it might have been an omen

Yikes, very very very sorry Chieftess. I didnt know that discussion of "preventative measures" fell into the same category with obscenities. I am really shooting myself in the foot all over the place! Please forgive me I will keep all my humor above the waist and below the "rated G" mark from now on.

I still wish the "question from a newbie" thread would be moved humor and reopened. Oh well.

Embarassing, a whole round back to me, with no comment from anyone else? Well the game is circulating again with Nick... I had the joy of having 3 PBEMs waiting in my mailbox this afternoon.

Maybe we should rename this game the "Going thru the Motions" PBEM???

No, it's not a bad habit. I believe that if a registered member has something on-topic to say that does not violate the Forum Rules (no offense, Sultan), then he should say it. No exceptions! Even if it consists mostly of the words, "to [person]".

BTW, who has the turn? Let's go through the rounds of saying "I don't have it" so we can determine it through indirect logic. Aye, reading a "to [person]" message would be so much simpler.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT: On Wednesday Next I have to go out of town till the Saturday after thanksgiving, about a ten day break.

If you guys would rather keep playing, I am happy to accept a sub for those days or even give my spot over to somebody else. Let me know what you think.

That's okay with me. From Monday, November 25, until Saturday, November 30, I also will be out of action. I don't intend to take any more big vacations like this one for a year. Nick, Trip, Plexus, UKSubs, do you think you will need to give me the boot also?

It sounds fine to me. However You cold possibly ask someone that you trust to play your turns while you are away. You don't have to (I probably wouldn't) but if you feel comfortable it would be greatly apreciated.

I am happy either way. The only thing I would say is that I wouldn't want someone already in the game to play my turns, that would be an unfair advantage...

Personally, I can wait. The game is still young and moving slow, so taking a week or two off won't kill the momentum or anything.
