Basically the 27 Episodes of the OVA describe the same events as the episodes 7-13 of the TV-series

I think there're two series. The earlier 13 episode one. And a second one, with a new cast of characters and taking place sometime after the the first series. Though the older characters make a reappearance, as the authority figures this time (like leaders, kings etc). Like the priest guy - he's now the king of that good kingdom.

I remember that dark prince fighting a last duel with the original hero of the first series, before making up and setting off on a voyage to lead his people to a new land. I think this side-story continues as the Castlevania anime.

Yeah, it's been awhile since I watched it... Forgot all the names.

Lots of anime are harmless boy-fantasies. Tenchi Muyo is worse.

In fact, I think the whole industry starts out as a boy-fantasy.

I got lots of shoujo anime and manga too; so I'm evened out. Or maybe unbalanced...

Yes, Lain. I remember the first time after I watched, I felt disturbed. And wondering...

But now that I'd watched it more often than I care to admit, the shock value has diminished somewhat (naturally)...

I love the Belldandy's one, but that's not the "submissive" side that is appealing (that has more to do with the japanese culture of "women obey they husband" than the character I think).
What's interesting is the kindness and romantic side. I DREAM of a girl that is as sweet, kind, romantic and loving as this one

(okay, I need to get back on Earth, tss you dreambreakers )

yeah, belldandy would make the perfect girl. when I saw AMG the first time I was shocked by belldandy's attitude towards Kenchi but with a little piece of Ai Amano it will be even better

Ai is a very fun girl, I think she'll be perfect for me, I watched a video girl in my video recorder but nothing happened

Ai is too much of a tomboy for my tastes

Belldandy is just a cutie with a golden heart (don't know if the expression exists ? ). At at least, she's a girl I could trust and that would never lie, and THAT is probably the most precious treasure that you can hope to find in anyone on Earth

sure, let me look for that CD, I bought a magazzine and the disc was included, it also had the art work and a lot of stuff.
