Some Notes on the Abilities of Forces Employed for the Defense of The Council and its Property

The formula to determine Weak/Average/Strong:
WeakCiv<=.8(The Council)
StrongCiv>=1.2(The Council)
AverageCiv=any value between .8(The Council), 1.2(The Council)

The Formula to determine (The Council):
Unit Value = HP(1.5AP +1DP) + .5(BP)
HP = hit points
AP = Attack strength
DP = Defend strength
BP = Bombard strength
movement counts for naught

In practice, I have found it easier to look at a unit's Value/HP, and then sum up how many HP there are for each unit.
e.g.: Warrior (1/1/1) = 1.5(1)AP + 1(1)DP + 0 BP = 2.5 points for each Hit Point.
so, Regular warrior = 7.5

The list of Units and their score values/HP

*Ancient Cavalry are granted an extra HP, so a unit produced in a barracks town emerges with 5 HP.

Turn 96:

2 regular galleys, both at 3 HPs
14 warriors:
3 veteran: Woon Jae and Nam-Il - both at 4 HPs, Ulsan at 3 HPs
11 regular: 9 @ 3HP and 2 @ 1 HP

OKay, so we have:
2 galleys, both regular = 2 * 7.5 = 15
9 regular warriors = 9 * 7.5 = 67.5
2 'injured conscript' warriors = 2 * 2.5 = 5
3 veteran warriors = 3 * 10 = 30
Total = 117.5

According to the advisor, we are Weak to BABE and SABER, average to Free. Thus:

The Council = Free < Babe = Saber
As the increments of weak, average, and strong come in 1/5's:
1/5 of 117.5 = 23.5 (This is the current increment)
117.5 + 23.5 = 141

Free cannot have more than 141 <=1.2(The Council)
BABE must have more than 141 >1.2(The Council)
SABER must have more than 141 >1.2(The Council)

As you can see, this calculation is not able to put an upper limit on Babe and Saber's strength. However, as soon as we turn AVERAGE to one, we'll know their strength with extreme accuracy. It's really quite a thrill to pinpoint someone's strength!

Known Units:
BABE:
2 reg. galleys = 15
1 reg. curragh = 7.5
TOTAL = 22.5
leaves at least 118.5 unseen

SABER:
???

FREE:
???

The more info people feed me, the more I (or some other tireless councillor) can fill in ;)

Here are the stats for the start of turn 98:

2 regular 3/3 galleys
13 warriors:
10 regular: 9 3/3 and 1 1/3
3 vet: 2 4/4 and 1 3/4
1 Ancient cavalry: veteran 5/5

We are:

weak to BABE
average to SABER
strong to FREE

zyxy will have to supply info on upgrades and power ratngs during the course of the turn.

EDIT: We upgraded two veteran warriors to MDI. I didn't check but I think the upgraded units were both 4/4 warriors. The ratings did not change after either upgrade.

Turn 97:

2 galleys, both regular = 2 * 7.5 = 15
10 regular warriors = 10 * 7.5 = 75
1 'injured conscript' warriors = 1 * 2.5 = 2.5
2 veteran warriors = 2 * 10 = 20
1 injured vet = 1 * 7.5 = 7.5
1 vet* AC (3/2/2) = 1 * 32.5
Total = 152.5

According to the advisor, we are Weak to BABE and SABER, average to Free. We are weak to BABE, average to SABER, strong to FREE.

Free < The Council = Saber < Babe r
As the increments of weak, average, and strong come in 1/5's:
1/5 of 152.5 = 30.5 (This is the current increment)

Free cannot have more than 139*<.8(The Council)
SABER must have more than 139, less than 183 (The Council)
BABE must have more than 183 >1.2(The Council)

*Once we produced an AC (32.5), our rating went up to 173.5. Free became Weak. Thus, FREE cannot have more that .8(173.5) = 139.

Known Units:
BABE:
2 reg. galleys = 15
1 reg. curragh = 7.5
TOTAL = 22.5
leaves at least 160.5 unseen

SABER:
139 - 183 unseen

FREE:

1 3/4 warriors = 1 * 7.5 = 7.5
2 4/4 MDI = 2 * 32 = 64
1 3/3 Horse = 1 * 12 = 12
1 5/5 AC = 1 * 32.5
Total = 203.5 (152.5 t97)

According to the advisor, we are Weak to BABE and SABER, average to Free. We are AVG to BABE, STR to SABER, STRto FREE.

As the increments of weak, average, and strong come in 1/5's:
1/5 of 202.5 = 41 (This is the current increment)

Free cannot have more than 162.5
SABER must must have between more than 163 and 244.5
BABE must have between 163 and 244.5

Known Units:

Turn 103:

2 galleys, both regular = 2 * 7.5 = 15
7 regular warriors = 7 * 7.5 = 52.5
1 4/4 warrior = 1 * 10 = 10
2 4/4 MDI = 2 * 32 = 64
1 3/3 Horse = 1 * 12 = 12
2 5/5 AC = 2 * 65
Total = 210.5 (203.5 t97)

According to the advisor, we are Weak to BABE and SABER, average to Free. We are WK to BABE, AVG to SABER, STR to FREE.

As the increments of weak, average, and strong come in 1/5's:
1/5 of 210.5 = 42 (This is the current increment)

Free cannot have more than 168.5
SABER must must have between more than 168.5 and 252.5
BABE must MORE than 279* :eek:

*before disbanding 3 3/3 warriors, our sum was 233.5
233.5 + 20% = 279

Known Units & Analysis:
BABE:
Turn 99 they had no more than 244.5, four turns later they are at 279. That's not as huge a leap as it seems. Veteran Mounted Warriors are worth 22 points each.

2 reg. galleys = 15
1 reg. curragh = 7.5
TOTAL = 22.5
leaves at least 160.5 unseen

SABER:
139 - 183 unseen

FREE:
139 unseen

We also know (from turn 103) that BABE has two mounted warriors - they are on the island north of us.

Weak to BABE, Average to SABER and Strong to FREE with:

1 vet 4/4 warrior
7 reg 3/3 warrior
2 reg 3/3 galleys
1 reg 3/3 horse
2 vet 5/5 ancient cavalry
2 vet 4/4 MDI

Disbanded one reg 3/3 warrior and military ratings stayed the same.

Disbanded another reg 3/3 warrior and we changed to Weak to SABER. Remained Weak to BABE and Strong to FREE.

Turn 106 update from Chat with Saber...
Dutchfire:
according to our info, they could have as much as 9 veteran Mounted Warriors and 9 veteran spearmen and enough galleys to transport them
General_W:
yikes
General_W:
are you managing to stay Average compared to them?
Dutchfire:
no

Turn 106, updated:

2 3/3 galleys = 2 * 7.5 = 15
5 3/3 warriors = 5 * 7.5 = 37.5
1 4/4 warrior = 1 * 10 = 10
2 4/4 MDI = 2 * 32 = 64
1 3/3 Horse = 1 * 12 = 12
2 5/5 AC = 2 * 65
Total = 197.5 (210.5 t103)

We are WK to BABE and SABER, STR to FREE.

As the increments of weak, average, and strong come in 1/5's:
1/5 of 195.5 = 39

BABE > 234.5 (t103>279) :eek:
SABER = 245 to 252* (t103 = 168.5 and 252.5)
Free < 156.5 (<168.5)

*during unit retirement, we were average to SABER with 203, putting their strength at less than 252.5; they went strong to us when we went to 195.5

Known Units & Analysis:
BABE:
t99 < 244.5
t103 > 279
t106 > 293 or 303, depending on Saber's strength t103 (from chat w/ dutchfire)

2 MW 4/4 = 44
2 reg. galleys = 15
1 reg. curragh = 7.5
TOTAL = 66.5
leaves at least 226.5 - 232.5 unseen

Saber claims 9 4/4 MW = 198
9 4/4 spear = 126
6 3/3 galleys = 45
TOTAL: 369 I find this result dubious. That would indicate an increase of 125 points in 7 turns, and I'm pretty sure they were in anarchy for a couple of those.

SABER: weak! to BABE :eek:
t99 = 139 - 183
t103 = 168.5 - 252.5
t106 = 245 - 252
all unseen

FREE: weak to all
t99 < 162.5
t103 < 168.5
t106 < 156.5
all unseen

GONG:
irrelevent

Turn 118

5 3/3 galleys = 5 * 7.5 = 37.5
2 3/3 warriors = 2 * 7.5 = 15
1 4/4 warrior = 1 * 10 = 10
1 4/4 pike = 1 * 16 = 16
2 4/4 MDI = 2 * 32 = 64
1 3/3 Horse = 1 * 12 = 12
5 5/5 AC = 5 * 32.5 = 162.5
Total = 314 (197.5 t106)

We are WK to BABE and SABER, STR to FREE and GONG.

As the increments of weak, average, and strong come in 1/5's:
1/5 of 314 = 64.7

BABE > 377 (t106>234.5)
SABER > 377 (t106 = 245 to 252, but t107 we lost track of them)
Free < 251 (<156.5)
Gong < 251

Known Units & Analysis:
BABE:
t99 < 244.5
t103 > 279
t106 > 293 or 303, depending on Saber's strength t103 (from chat w/ dutchfire)
t116 SABER sights 9 galleys off their coast, presumed loaded.

2 MW 4/4 = 44
9 reg. galleys = 67.5
1 reg. curragh = 7.5
TOTAL = 129
leaves at least 248 unseen

SABER: weak! to BABE :eek:
t99 = 139 - 183

GONG:
t118 < 251

At the start of turn 127:

We are:

WEAK to BABE
STRONG to FREE
STRONG to GONG
WEAK to SABER

We have:

2 3/3 warriors
1 4/4 warrior
12 3/3 horse
2 4/4 horse
1 4/4 pike
1 3/3 pike
2 3/3 muskets
6 3/3 galleys
2 4/4 MDI
6 5/5 Ancient cavalry

Babe forces we see:
2 4/4 mounted warriors
14 3/3 galleys

At the start of turn 128:

We are:

WEAK to BABE
STRONG to FREE
STRONG to GONG
WEAK to SABER

We have:

2 3/3 warriors
1 4/4 warrior
13 3/3 horse
3 4/4 horse
1 4/4 pike
1 3/3 pike
2 3/3 muskets
5 3/3 galleys
2 4/4 MDI
6 5/5 Ancient cavalry
1 1/5 Ancient cavalry

Babe forces we see:
23 4/4 mounted warriors
3 4/4 MDI
2 4/4 pike
14 3/3 galleys

BABE:
23 4/4 mounted warriors = 506
3 4/4 MDI = 96
2 4/4 pike = 16
14 3/3 galleys = 105
TOTAL: 723

The Council:
2 3/3 warriors =`15
1 4/4 warrior = 10
13 3/3 horse = 156
3 4/4 horse = 16
1 4/4 pike = 16
1 3/3 pike = 12
2 3/3 muskets = 42
5 3/3 galleys = 37.5
2 4/4 MDI = 32
6 5/5 Ancient cavalry = 195
1 1/5 Ancient cavalry = 6.5
TOTAL: 538

107.6 + 538 = 645.6
-107.6 + 538 = 430.4

BABE must have at least 645.6

Clearly, they are quite a bit stronger than us right now. But since the result is open-ended, they could have over 1000, though I think it's unlikely.

We are weak compared to BABE, average compared to both SABER and GONG and strong compared to FREE. (Turn 143). Weren't we strong compared to GONG recently?

I can't open the save - so until someone posts the stats of all our units, I can't run the numbers here :(

Sorry, but I don't have C3C.

Here you go Peter:

I'm pretty sure the experience numbers are: elite/veteran/regular/conscript

:salute:
