This will be a day-one mod out for me. For those who don't like it, modders will edit it out and release the mod to the public, so really nothing to worry about. I may keep it to use a couple of times to play around with, but I'm definately not keeping this unit, as I like my game to stop at the Modern times.

No, it isn't.
No, you can't disable it.
Yes, there will be mods available replacing it with stealth tanks, six-legged robots and other units which look more realistically for the mod creators.

I'm sure the unit is real. But I bet you at the last minute they change the name of it. It would be easy to do with a gameday patch via steam.
