The Capo's LH Gallery and Self-Help Thread!

I think there is also an alpha property. Adjusting it should change the transparency. But I haven't adjusted it yet so I can's be sure.

Yes, you should only rename the napoleon animation to make it work. I use this when I test animations; I rename the animations to greeting and pleased animation and then see how they work in civilopedia.

Thanks for the help MO, hopefully that works. I tried to get Stambolov done as well, and I actually got the texturing to finally show up in NifSkope, then I put it in the game and the arms were missing. I want to ask Ekmek what happened here because I used Ataturk as a base for this, and maybe I just rigged something wrong. I noticed there was no Right Bicep only a Left Bicep as an option so I rigged it to the shoulder/Clavical thing. I also connected the arms to the hands and havent seen the Ataturk animations, so I am not sure if the hands are involved are not, maybe that is why the arms are missing. I guess my main question is this; why would the arms be missing?

Here is a pic.

What I'm thinking on Stambolov is that Ekmek didn't give any anims to Ataturks hands and stuff, so the game just doesn't show them. Because the parts that are missing are attached to the arms, and the part that shows up is attached to the torso. The reason i think this is because the whole body is ONE piece. So I'm hoping that's it, because that will be easy to fix, although it certainly would have saved me time while making it.

MO do you know what to do on the alpha property, I pulled it open in NifSkope and I can't really see anything I can change.

Alright, finally I got Stambolov to work. There are a few minor details I have to Iron out, but I think he looks really good. The background is going to be changed, but here he is so far. I hope you guys like him. By the way, if you are wondering WHEN Stambolov and Kekkonen are going to be released I have an answer for you; between two weeks to a month. I am working on 14 European modules for my mod and these new leaderheads will be part of them (I have also made Christian IV for Denmark, and I think I am going to wind up making three more leaderheads). So I am not going to release them as standalone LHs, but they will be available in my modules.

Again, I hope you like the LHs so far.

Very nice. The clippage on his tie and the lack of texture on his mustache are the only real criticisms I can raise on this.

Ataturk's animation are the same as Peter's, but the LH is based on Alexander. So you should look for animations compatible with Alexander's.

Well,l if I did that I'd have to go back and re-rig everything again. Do you think its that important that I change the animations?

Oh, alright.

Well, you may get your wish madman, because right now the anims don't actually have any arm movement, which bothers me. I probably will go back and change it, but after doing Kekkonen and Stambolov I think I'm blendered out at the moment. I did start putting together a Bulgarian-flavored unit set, which I am hoping is to everyone's liking (because I'm working pretty hard on it) and I'll have a preview of it in my mod's thread pretty soon.

To anyone else who is wondering why I decided to make Stambolov and Kekkonen (of all the other options out there) I am making a pack of European modules. You can check my mod's thread for updates, I have a lot of preview images, and I like to think I keep people up to speed on what I am working on. As usual any help at all would be appreciated as well.

The one issue is the greeting with the top hat. How can I remove that? Another thing is the blue lighting that seems to be on the side of his face. I am also wondering if there is a way to get the lenses on his glasses to look more clear but still have the glare on them? Any other suggeestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

copy the affirmative action and rename it to the greeting (you'll also have to delete the old greeting to do it). if you use animations from differnt leaders keep it consistent (one leader's anim for all) because it may warp the skeleton.

good job on kekkonen.

well if i'm missing bones a way around that is to open alexander.nif. copy over the stambolov nif like you are doing the swap. BUT don't remove the original alex. when you import it you'll get both of them in there. delete the alex from blender then start re-rigging. you might have to rotate the stambolov back on the skelton but it should work.

if this is to rough. I can send you my old ataturk blen with the skelton. youo can rig the suit there an export it and just take the suit from there when you do the swap.

Thanks for the help Ekmek, I really appreciate it. I'll probably go back and fix these at a later time, because they are for modules and I am releasing seven of them at once. So there is no huge rush to do it at this point.

Any ideas on how to make Kekkonen's glasses less foggy? Or get rid of that blue lighting/shading on the side of his face?

no idea. as you see with curtin i just got rid of the lenses because i couldn't make it work. AFAIK only bernie has pulled it off with his kim jong il

Yeah and Bernie seems to be MIA (or at least ignoring my PMs ;) ), well I'll see what I can do about Kekkonen, but if I can't fix it I'll either leave it as is or remove the lenses. I'm not releasing this LHs by themselves, I'm releasing them with my European Module Pack (to boost my DL stats, obviously). I threw together some parts for Mindaugas. What do you think?

(You can totally trash this if you want, nothing is attached or rigged yet, I am still just trying different things out)

I'm going to texture his "hood" the same as the Chainmail that's underneath his armor (which is Ragnar's chainmail) BTW. The crown will probably be gold, and I might make the armor (or at least the shoulder and arm stuff) gold as well. But again, this is just something I threw together.
