The Capo's LH Gallery and Self-Help Thread!

My next LH is almost done, but I've hit a problem with his glasses.

Normally, they look alright. But when he tilts his head back, for a split second I get this.

The nif suddenly becomes transparent around the eyes

Any thoughts as to what might cause this?

Wow, I've never seen this before. Perhaps you are missing a texture somehwere?

Also did you use the NoShader version for this LH? The texture looks a bit flat.

Oh man that is pretty funny.

Which leaderhead is he?

As for the problem, I don't have any leaderhead making experience so unfortunately I can't help.

Actually, he's probably using him as Shambara, the Shangri-La leader. I reckon most modders will use him as Songsten Gampo for Tibet.

Actually, it's "Suchandra" of "Shambhala"

Could you have a non-glasses-ed version too?

Yeah I'm planning on removing the glasses for use as Suchandra. But I figured plenty of modders with Tibet as a civ would appreciate a modern Tibetan leader

Try changing the alpha property threshold of the lens, should be 0.

It is. Though I checked and I found out that I forgot to make the meshes shaded. I've fixed that and now I'm gonna see what happens.

EDIT: just tried adding the shaders. Just the usual process - clicking "yes" to HasShader and setting the Shader Name to TLeaderheadShader_20. But then when I try to view the LH in the Civlopedia, the game crashes.

One question...

Has anyone else had problems where the nif registers shader textures onto the wrong mesh? I've been getting several errors with my last couple of shaded LHs using different parts of different LHs where the parts of the LH would register several different shader textures.

I have actually never had a problem with the textures on any of my LHs, Ekmek may have come across this issue though so you might want to put in a question in his tutorial thread.

you can post it in your LH gallery, I cruise the other LH galleries.

but i never worked with lenses. maybe if you post it methyl can help.

as for wrong textures it might be because when you load the file to edit uvs in blender you have to also change the material file. I never posted that info in my tutorial because usually people don't need to mess with it. but you guys are getting pretty advanced fast so I probably should add it.

Well, since I had so much trouble exporting the mesh in the first place, is there any way to do this in Nifskope?

Capo, as promised I fixed your Basil... em, Byzantine leader. Have a look at the files and tell me what you think.
