He looks very nice, Capo. He's a contemporary, but should look very nice with Willem.

cfkane, and what other gameplay changes might that particular mod make?
 
Excellent leaderhead!:hatsoff: (And I'm not just saying because I'm Dutch; he looks spiffing! BTW, "best daddy" was a nickname given by his mariners to admiral Michiel De Ruyter, another contemporary, so that's not too far off.) He should definitely be added in CIV Gold, BTW. :goodjob:

Anyway those of you who are familiar with my mod, or have playtested my mod know I have been working on fixing up Methyl Orange's Kamehameha (well, I've basically gutted everything and attached it properly, did some sculpting etc. etc.) for use in my mod, which features the Polynesians as a civ. I still have a few things to alter, so this may be up in a day or two but here it is so far with shaders. Thoughts?

EDIT: I'm not going for an exact carbon copy of the image I posted with it by the way. I am aware that his forehead is bigger in the other image, his eyes are droopier, etc. I most likely won't sculpt the head more than I already have.
 
Is it just me or is one nostril a lot bigger that the other?
 
The old Kamehameha was pretty good, but you've made seemed to have patched up on the old one. He's going in WoL. :D

Basically what MO did with the old Kamehameha was take the English King, give him a serious tan, and then put (I have no idea whose) different hair on him. The leader wasn't properly animated, he basically took off the torso and threw Washington's torso over it. So the arms were George's (the English King) but the body wasn't. It looked good, but if you really look at it (and you can now since you are part of the LH-craft) you will notice how (no offense meant of course) shoddy the LH really was.

What I have done was start over entirely. I used the same texture for the face (with some modifications of course), but I resculpted it, I animated his whole body and changed his clothing entirely. In essence it is a completely different LH, but it looks very similar so it gives off the impression that it is just an upgrade. It's a whole new LH though.

EDIT: These Nostrils are a :):):):):). I'm going to try and get it right, or at least as close as possible, but we might have to deal with some screwed up nostrils for a bit, I've got deadlines man! Deadlines!

The problem is that there aren't the exact same number of vertices on both sides, so trying to make them "match" isn't an option here, unfortunately.
 
Well, I tried four times and failed to get those damn nostrils to look right, so I sent him over to Ekmek's workshop, I mean tutorial, to get looked at by some "top men."

Anyway, I moved on to Salamasina for now. There is some good and bad here. First the bad; I was unable to really get her torso underneath the coconut bra to look natural. So unfortunately the coconut bra has to go. :cry:

On the plus side, I shadered the LH and changed her crown a bit (well, I changed the leaves to hibiscus flowers). She looks SO MUCH better with shaders. What I think I'll do rather than the coconut bra is give her a little wrap/dress thing going on (I'll probably morph around Caesar or Huayna Capac's robe), which I think will look MUCH better than the coconut bra did (although I did really want that thing to work out). I'm pretty stoked about this LH now, so I'll probably get on that right after this post. Check it out though. :goodjob:

Will do, Kamehameha only needs some texturing on his face (really only his eyebrows, and he should probably be made to look older). Salamasina really only needs her body to be textured, but honestly this could actually be fun to do (actually you could even texture her totally nude because her clothes are totally separated from her and I think it would be hilarious/awesome). So it really isn't much of a job if you check it out in my thread, I'll send you the nifs though in the next hour or two.

She looks older in my opinion, whatever the @#$% that means, but good job. I look forward to your Kamehamehamehamea.
 
I'm still, slowly but surely, working on getting his nostrils to look symetrical. I say slowly but surely because each time I try it out its just a little better. Everytime I've violently changed it it has looked horrible, so I suppose this is the only way to do it. Here he is so far, disregard the texturing problems because those will be fixed.
