I want make nuclear war more sophisticated, because of fact that tactical nukes are moveable and some doesnt have silo or shield protection so strong as icbm. every country will have to make maneuvers with their nukes and make its nuke arsenal more decentralized. I see that as more nuclear fun :D

so can somebody help wiht this? I just want to try this option ;)


and is there possibility to make business wiht weapons? I know that in scenario you can set, witch ONE unit will be marketable, but only ONE unit. in original scenario it´s worker which you can sell whne it´s placed in capitol city. business with weapons in multiplayer must be very very fun option ;)

I am not sure if making the tactical nukes destroyable would be a good idea. Being able to destroy the enemies nuclear arsenal with a first strike would make retaliation impossible....

Well ... yes that's the point. Part of the reason for the nuclear arms race was the idea that it would be possible to win a nuclear war or at least come off relatively unscathed by destroying the other sides nukes with your own. Hence the need for both sides to to build more and more nukes to negate the oppositions advantage leading to the the absurd situation where the USA and USSR had enough nukes to destroy the entire world many times over.

So it would lend more realism to the scenario if nukes were destroyable and also make using them an even more strategic decision as it would become a priority to find the enemies nukes (very expensive espionage). Although it may not be desirable as from earlier posts I see the AI needs no encouragement to build copious amounts of nukes.

In the game I played, the WP used their one A-bomb in a petulant attack on one of my cities in East Germany even though I had 17 nukes stockpiled (which they would have known about as it is well documented that the AI "knows" where every unit is on the map even if they haven't recced it in the way that would be required for us humans).

I want to ask you, if is possible to set cruise missile, to destroy more than one unit (on the same location/square) by only one strike? if it´s possible to create this kind of unit in editor? for example to destroy two decimate unit by one tomahwk ;)

You mite try the creation forum in the units area and some of them may have the answer. I would think it could be done.

The only units that can destroy multilpe targets in one turn are nukes and all blitz flaged units ,so far.
Because you mention the cruise missile ,the nuke would be the way to go. But nukes are in the scenario anyway.
 
Is anyone having trouble playing TCW 2.0? I've encountered two problems playing Blue BIQ as Holland, default(blue) text and even the no-raze patch that comes with the dl.

First problem is I can't switch my specialist to police or whatever it is that comes after scientist. The game just crashes. Early on it's not a big deal as I can click on the city to automatically work all tiles but once all the tiles are worked there's no way to switch a scientist to a clown.

Second problem is I crash in the beginning of turn just right after AI finishes its turns sometime in week 20-something. The camera pans to my capital and poofs the exe encounters problem and must close . I haven't reloaded and tried to replicate the crash. I'm testing vanilla at the moment just to see if it's a vista issue although I really doubt it because the first problem also presents on my XP. The vanilla game is fine so far and I can browse specialists.

Mod looks amazing so I had to play it. I'm not exactly the modern type of civver (always war, conquer all cities and yes I know TCW isn't just about that) but in the past months I'd been playing Modern Warfare 2 so I lust for nukes and air support which are plenty in this scenario. Any help appreciated.
 
OK I solved one problem. There's something wrong with the popheads.pcx in the art/smallheads folder that came with the download. It's not exactly corrupted as I'm able to open it but it's missing the police and engineer heads as if it was made for non-conquest CivIII. How did you guys not have this problem?

Well, anyway, just delete the pcx and the scenario will use default one. I'm off to try to fix my second problem. AI finishes its turn, North African leader begs my presence and then "we love prime minister day" is celebrated in Amsterdam and then my game crashes again.

popheads: I guess we never click on the specialist ingame. At least I don`t.;)
Deleting the file was clever.:goodjob:

Crash: The game jumps to Amsterdam because the celebration. It is no must that there is something wrong in the city itself ,but it is an indicator. So do you have had a new research this turn or not ? If yes ,check everything that has to do with it. If no ,one of the AI Civs have discovered a new advance and something that`s attached to it causing the crash. What makes it very hard to localize the bug.

A known bug is the BTR-152. So check that unit folder out.

Sounds like a corrupt download, which has been known to happen. I would try re-down loading and see what happens.

I just to ask, if is anybody who (read this message at this moment) knows how make wonders destroyable? for some times ago I read that it´s possible (in some ini file maybe), but I cant find it now :( can you help me, PLEASE

First I hope you can handle the "Windows Explorer" by your own. :mischief:
Second DON`T SWEAT. Never ... :lol:
Third you should already have the main download and the biqs ?!? :scan:

Forth unpack the mainDL and drop the folder "TCW" into your "Scenarios" folder of Conquests.
Fifth unpack the biqDL then go into the folder just created and drop all biqs you see into your "Scenarios" folder of Conquests.

Sixth launch the game and select Civ-Contents in the main menu. Look out for the TCW ones and choose wisely.
 
it says Missing entry in "text/Pedialcon.txt":ICON_BLDG_Telephone_CO, what does that mean and how can i fix that?
