Eh, Burton isn't bad, I liked many of his movies. They're not spectacular, but they usually have a somewhat original plot and neat visuals.

Saw it last night. It was ok. No surprises in the plot. Murder 'mystery' with 8 characters, one of whom is the victim, and one who dies 2/3rds through to act as a messenger. Can YOU figure out which of the remaining six is the killer?

I saw the movie. It is absolutely terrible. I was so bored and I wanted to leave. The story is weak, the animation sucks (sure it looks cute and different in the trailers but you get sick of it quickly) and did I say the story sucks?

I know That I will love that movie,If it is anything like Nightmare before Christmas. Burton is one of my favorite directors. But I also Have to admit, I am a bit of a new Age Emo Sack of Crap wanna be.

Seconded. I saw this movie with a bunch of friends yesterday. Went in with a positive attitude towards it, not a huge fan of animation, but was willing to give it a shot. The whole plot is a predictable, and the jokes really aren't that funny.

Thick black hipster glasses do not look better. Genuine horn-rimmed square glasses can look cool; but you can't wear those nowadays without being 'ironic'. If you could go back to the 50s, then by all means, rock the horn-rimmed.
P.S. Teenager goth kids love the Nightmare Before Christmas cuz it's vaguely different. Emo kids like indie movies.
