How much do you want to bet that every emo sack of crap is going to love that movie... kinda like the new Willy Wonka movie and Sin City.

I will see this movie as soon as I find out where the theater is. BUt yes, the theater will probably be filled with emo/goth weirdos.

Saw it last night. It was ok. No surprises in the plot. Murder 'mystery' with 8 characters, one of whom is the victim, and one who dies 2/3rds through to act as a messenger. Can YOU figure out which of the remaining six is the killer?
Spoiler :
Could it be... the Mysterious and Mean-Spirited Stranger Whose Silhouette Perfectly Matches the Killer's in the Obligatory Expository Dream Sequence and Is Also the Only Competition for the Living Bride? It might, rabbit, it might.

I saw the movie. It is absolutely terrible. I was so bored and I wanted to leave. The story is weak, the animation sucks (sure it looks cute and different in the trailers but you get sick of it quickly) and did I say the story sucks?

I know That I will love that movie,If it is anything like Nightmare before Christmas. Burton is one of my favorite directors. But I also Have to admit, I am a bit of a new Age Emo Sack of Crap wanna be. :(

Being somewhat of a 'goth' fan I should inform you that to hear goth mentioned in the same sentance as 'emo' in that manner is very disturbing to me.

I can't tell the two apart. I have an emo friend, and she dresses much like a goth, and acts all moody and depressed on her blog.

Emo people always wear horned-rim glasses and ******** too-small sweater vests and they like to read Chuck Palahnuik novels while pretending to be intellectual, and everybody does or should hate them. I'm not even going to qualify it by saying that I just hate their style, I actually hate them as human beings.

Goth people just like to hate things and listen to hard rock while exploring rotten.com

personally I prefer goths

Seconded. I saw this movie with a bunch of friends yesterday. Went in with a positive attitude towards it, not a huge fan of animation, but was willing to give it a shot. The whole plot is a predictable, and the jokes really aren't that funny.

I was told a while ago I look like an emo kid. I suppose I should be worried.

The movie didn't seem particularly emo to me. Sure, the title is emo, but it's really just a standard fare Disney movie, or it could be (since it's not made by Disney). I found it cute, if extremely cliche.

Why are lots of emo people obsessed with The Nightmare before christmas?

Anyways, I didn't really want to see the movie, and still don't. I mean, some of Burton's stuff is okay (I liked Big Fish) but other than that, meh.

Horn rimmed glasses look better than normal glasses!

Thick black hipster glasses do not look better. Genuine horn-rimmed square glasses can look cool; but you can't wear those nowadays without being 'ironic'. If you could go back to the 50s, then by all means, rock the horn-rimmed.

P.S. Teenager goth kids love the Nightmare Before Christmas cuz it's vaguely different. Emo kids like indie movies.

Well obviously it's not just looks, and the whole 'goths' are moody and depressed thing only really applies to under 18's, but anyways....
