The EU (Sheeps NES)

I do not believe the Vatican City is a member of the European Union.

N im sad to say the Vatican is not part of the EU... who knows maybe they arent european enough? ;)

Tony Blair addressing the EU

The United Kingdom would firstly like to congratulate the EU on being the strongest union of nations in the world (sheepness). We have passed many resolutions and including a environmental resolution that myself am proud of(included it in my orders). We in the EU have come across some difficult issues and many of them dealing with membership in our glorious union. We have progressed through these issues and many are still unresolved however I am sure they will become resolved in the very near future.

Luxembourg agrees wholeheartedly with the United Kingdom. Though the EU has faced crisis, we have come out of it stronger as an organization. We have accelerated the pace of our Union, passing two strong Treaties and several resolutions to adapt the EU to a changing world.

Luxembourg is hopeful that the EU will continue to move more closely together as a body. It looks forward to next year's Consitutional Convention.

OOC: Go us! I recommend everyone at least skims the EU constitution while Sheep updates. I posted a link to it in an earlier post.

1- Food-health reform package: includes better control regulations of agricultural and fishing areas, as well as more strict health inspection regulations for mass food providers/factories.

2- Establishment of a council of Professors of Environmental Engineering from prominent Turkish universities to start investigating the lack of environmental concern in Turkish industry, and start development of environmental codes and standards for Turkey. After their preliminary assessment, required actions and funding for improving environmental care in Turkey will be decided (possibly next year)

I am back. I will be checking to see if any of you have tried to kick me out yet ;)

Us try and kick you out..naaah:mischief: by the way we have to talk.

Whatevers easiest really.

So, what are we doing about a Constitution?

Just to say i'm back. To some this is a bad thing and to others this is a good thing. Well it was france that was pushing for the constitution changes. If anyone has any real interest in it they can go ahead on it however I don't.

Well, I just re-read the treaty, and it seems we have until the end of 2009 to ratify a constitution. So it doesn't need to be done this year.

We need yet again another EU thread, who is willing to upkeep this?

Well, I figured we could just use this thread, and Tyrion could update the front page...

If Tyrion has the time, I do know for a fact he has just started a new year at school, or will be doing so in the next week or so.

I can start the new thread and will keep it up-to-date..the front page would just be the combination of the two EU threads though. Unless anyone else has a burning desire to take care of it.

That would be great Canuck... i have a few ideas for constitution rules... that can be added to or edited as necessary... will write up later.

The new EU thread is up and going
