Great Socialist War
1936-November- USSA forces punch through the Confederate advance on Chicago, stranding 70,000 Confederate troops in the city. Attempts of break outs are unsuccessful.
December- Confederate forces dig-in in Chicago, taking out some of the forts on the Great Lakes, hoping to allow Canadian ships to evacuate the city. Col. Rommel begins a desperate push through southern Michigan/northern Indiana to reach Chicago.
1937-January- Allies begin evacuating Chicago, losing ships and men to the two remaining Socialist gun emplacements. Rommel is halted just inside the Indiana border and, with partisan attacks on supplies and growing USSA assaults, is forced back to Canadian lines.
February-Chicago is retaken by the Socialists, killing or capturing 6 Confederate Divisions. Socialists begin pushing confederates back towards the Mississippi.
March-Winter ends. Canadian, New England and Alaskan Mechanized infantry begin pushing out of New York and New Jersey, with Alaskans reaching Philadelphia. Confederates hold along the Mississippi, with help from the RMU. Canadian troops encircle Flint and begin besieging the city. Canadian, RMU and Federation forces push towards Minneapolis. Probative advance toward Milwaukee is halted by USSA regulars.
April- Siege of Minneapolis begins. USSA launches offensives towards Thunder Bay and Richmond. Flint falls and Canadians enter Ohio/Indiana. New England forces push towards Buffalo, some reaching Philadelphia and adding to the siege.
May- General Patton routs USSA army at Manassas with large Mechanized counterattack. Cincinnati falls to Confederate troops. Minneapolis falls. Colonel Rommel cuts off the Socialist advance towards Thunder Bay, leaving 4 Communist Divisions trapped in Canada. New England reaches the outskirts of Buffalo. Philadelphia falls.
June- Patton once more moves towards Lake Erie, with support from New England and Alaskan troops, heading towards Pittsburgh. Confederates move towards Columbus. Communist pocket outside Thunder Bay surrenders. Siege of Detroit begins. Canadians push through Wisconsin.
July-Columbus surrounded with heavy fighting. New England, Alaskan, and Confederates converge on Pittsburgh, with stiff resistance and house to house fighting. Mechanized push towards Milwaukee. Communist breakout attempt of Detroit has limited success, but is pushed back by armored assault.
August-Columbus surrenders. Canadian, RMU, and Federation troops begin sweeping south through Minnesota. Detroit falls to Canada. Confederates push towards Cleveland. Socialists begin withdrawal from Pittsburgh.
September-Assault on Milwaukee begins. Cleveland falls. Allied forces meet in Ohio; Eastern Front has been secured by American Alliance.
October-Massive Allied advance out of Ohio/Indiana towards Illinois and up from Missouri, threatening St. Louis. Street fighting heightens in Milwaukee.
November-March 1938-Winter quarters taken by both sides. Limited fighting on all fronts, except Milwaukee and St. Louis where vicious house to house fighting continues.
1938-April-St. Louis falls. Confederates push towards Decatur. Canadian Wolverines, New England Kaisers and Alaskan Nicholas IIs roll through the Midwest’s open farmland, crushing all resistance.
May-Chicago surrounded and assaulted from east and south. Mechanized breakout of Milwaukee pushes Canadian, RMU and Federation troops out of the city.
June-Combined advances of Milwaukee and Chicago by Alliance armies. Massive city fighting.
July-Last Socialist forces surrender to Allied armies.
Conclusion-Kansas-Nebraska ceded to RMU, land between Missouri and Mississippi Rivers ceded to Federation of Tribes, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin annexed by Canada, New England annexes remaining USSA lands, United States of America reestablished under New England rule.
Gulf War
1936-November-West Floridian troops reach the outskirts of St. Augustine.
December- Cuban fleet lands troops on Puerto Rico, meeting heavy resistance.
1937-January-Haitian fleet engages and breaks Cuban invasion. Reinforcements landed to help wipeout Cuban force. Siege of St. Augustine continues.
February-Louisiana discovered funding East Florida, Cuba, causing international uproar. United Kingdom sides with Gulf Alliance, making the alliance a provisional Commonwealth to protect regional territories and shipping interests in the Gulf.
March- St. Augustine falls to West Floridians and Royal Marines, East Florida annexed by West Florida, creating new country of Greater Florida. British and Haitian troops land in Cuba near Havana and at Guantanamo Bay. Heavy fighting and bombing ensues.
April- Havana is captured by overwhelming British forces. Remaining forces surrender.
Conclusion-Greater Florida is established. Cuba is annexed by Haiti. The Gulf Alliance becomes an ally of England, but not a Commonwealth. The Caribbean is firmly in control of the British Empire and Gulf Alliance.
Texico War
1936-November-TexMex troops land on the Baja Peninsula, meeting little resistance and pushing up north towards San Diego. TexMex troops, with Houston IIs in the lead, smash the Californian lines, moving quickly across the open desert.
December-Fighting break out along the TexMex/Deseret border as Republican forces continue to push back Californian forces and advance towards Phoenix. Republican forces continue to move up the Baja Peninsula, threatening San Diego and to cut off the rear of the Californian lines.
1937-January-Californian forces are defeated at Phoenix. TexMex forces move into Deseret, meeting fierce local resistance. Republican forces reach the outskirts of San Diego and begin shelling the city.
February-Treaty of Sacramento signed, returning Arizona to Texico and forcing California to cede them the Baja Peninsula.
Interwar Years
1936-Australian Crisis- Bill in Australian Parliament calling for Independence is axed by Britain. Revolt in Sydney, Canberra, and Perth. British and Columbian troops sent in to quell the fighting. Minor uprising in Columbia is similarly quelled. Nuremburg Conference begins between French and Polish officials to decide fate of Germany. Hitler put on trial.
1937- Italian troops enter Spain to help Franco’s Nationalists. Republican forces, without any outside assistance are quickly crushed and Nationalist Spain is established. Italian troops occupy Yugoslavia, annexing the region. Germany divided into three new countries: Prussia, Bavaria and the Northern Federation. Hitler is executed. Poland annexes Ukraine. Japan declares war on China.
1938-RMU Civil War. Local warlords rise up against government, seek to consolidate own powers. Some fighting spills over into Federation of Tribes. American Alliance forces move in to both regions to stabilize the fighting. Venice Conference-Neville Chamberlain and other Western leaders agree to allow Mussolini to annex Northern Albania, granted he takes no more land. United Republics of Texas and Mexico formally admitted into American Alliance. Large rail and air network established between the Alliance countries. Czechoslovakia merges with Poland. Heavy fighting in China. Manchuria is overrun by Japanese.
1939- Warlords subdued in RMU, under combined weight of TexMex, Canadian and Confederate forces. Federation of Tribes merges with RMU. Italy makes overtures to attack Greece. England and France guarantee Grecian independence. Italy annexes southern Albania. September 1, Italian troops invade Greece, while Spanish troops move in and seize the Strait of Gibraltar. France and England declare war on Italy and Spain. World War II begins. Shanghai falls to Japan, Chinese force move inland.
World War II
1939- Spanish and Italian troops invade southern France. Italian paratroopers seize Crete and Malta. Several naval battles in the Mediterranean. Britain rushes troops and ships through the Suez Canal. Italian troops move from Libya into Egypt. Spanish and Italian troops invade Algeria. British task force, attempting to attack Italian fleet at Taranto is spotted by Italian Naval bombers and destroyed. Marsaille falls to Italy, Bordeux threatened by Spanish.
1940- Major French counterattack in the Rivere. Italians pushed back towards border. Italian troops march into Egypt. British troops land in northern Spain, begin march towards Madrid. Montgomery defeated at El Alamein, British troops fall back to Suez Canal. Royal Oak sunk near Alexandria, British Med Fleet pulled back into Red Sea. Italians revive attack in France, push north and west. British troops halted in northern Spain, supply fleet attacked in Bay of Biscay by Spanish dive bombers and destroyed. October-American Alliance declares war on England, France. Blitzkrieg by Canadian forces into Quebec and Columbia. RMU forces move into southern Columbia. Confederate forces invade Greater Florida, swiftly capturing St. Augustine and Tallahassee. USA force move into New Bruinswick. TexMex forces move into Louisiana, Belize and Mayan Republic. Vancouver, Seattle and Quebec City all fall after heavy fighting. British plan large defense at Halifax. Fortress falls to combined Canadian and New England paratrooper assault. December-Japanese surprise attack on English fleet at Pearl Harbor in the Sandwich Islands. Singapore, Burma, Indonesia and India all invaded by Japan. Confederate and USA fleets seize Bermuda.
1941- Confederate capture Baton Rouge, move into Seminole Republic in Florida. Quebec, Newfoundland fall to Canadian forces. Confederates land in Bahamas. Large naval battles in Caribbean between Allied and Louisiana/British/Gulf fleets. Italians troops capture Suez Canal. British troops defeated at Leon in Spain, have to pull back to Gijon to evacuate. Spanish fleet moves in, attacking British transport hoping to evacuate the troops in Spain. Aided by an air assault, the ships are destroyed and the British troops in land are forced to surrender. Singapore and Hong Kong fall to the Japanese. Fighting breaks out in Australia, as Independants and pacifists oppose the war and British rule. The country is granted independence, with Britain unable to send troops to hold down the growing rebellion and promptly signs a nonaggression pact with Japan. Confederate troops land in Cuba, TexMex troops invade Haiti. Canadian and USA troops land in Ireland, leading to widespread revolt against British rule on the island. China surrenders to Japan.
1942- French and British troops mass in central France to stem the growing Italian and Spanish threat in the region. Allied forces liberate Dublin, begin bombing runs on Wales, London. HMS Hood, along with other British ships, sunk outside Skapa Flow in northern Scotland in Allied raid on the British shipyard. Orleans falls after 4 month long siege and street fighting to the Italians. New Orleans captured in combined TexMex and Confederate amphibious assault, Louisiana partitioned between the two countries. Fighting comes to a halt in the American theater, with British little resistance left. British troops force to return to England in anticipation of Alliance invasion from Ireland. Japan captures British holdings in Indonesia, French Indochina, Burma and Japanese troops begin to march into India. Spanish troops capture Bordeux.
1943-January-Surrounded on all sides, England and France are force to surrender to Italy and the American Alliance. Japanese forces are halted at the Indian border, an unofficial ceasefire is reached. Southern France is partitioned between Spain and Italy. Egypt is given to Italy, Algeria to Spain.
After War Years
1947-1953-Italian-Polish War- War between two dominant European powers over creation of Scandinavia/German reunification and border conflicts. Italians, with late help from Russia, defeat Poland, leading to the creation of Scandinavia and an Italian-dominated, reunified German.
