The Evils of Children Reading

What statements? I am unfamilier with this case.

Bill Maher who, if you've watched the show more than twice, you know is pretty hawkish militarily speaking. Anyway, he made a comment sometime in within a couple months of 9/11 that, to look at it in an unbiased manner, it was unfair to call the nuts that blew up the WTC and Pentagon 'cowards'. He said, disagree as you might, and as he did, with their cause and methods, they were not cowards.

He went on to say that ordering bobmers to annonymously rain destruction IS cowardly. It seemed he was targeting more the order givers, rather than the bobmer pilots.

Whatever, his opinion. While I would tend to agree with the first statement if you're arguing Webster's definition of the word 'coward. And while I'm less inclined to agree with the second, I can see what his point was.

This whole thing cause a bunch of people to  like newborns, demanding ABC yank him, immediately! Numerous sponsers dropped him, at least one ABC affiliate did as well. Afterall, he was being unpatriotic

If he'd have had a book, they'd have been out there at ground zero burning those babies. And these are many of the same people that cry about political correctness.

Disclaimer: I'm going exclusively from memory here, so if I got some sh!t wrong, don't castrate me. :D

Thanks for the info. Heavan forbid someone not like something said on politically incorrect. Kinda the point I'd say.

It sounds to me like the distinction between calling the Japanese in 41 cowardly for their attack, and calling the individual pilots cowardly. That and the Kamikazes. I can see the point that it is not cowardly to kill yourself in fighting for your beliefs. It is too bad those beliefs are as screwed up (from my point of view) as they are.
