The 'Fall 2016' Patch

So it seems that Firaxis has been watching the community... Good.

This is going to impact a number of mods... so time to take the patch for a spin and see what's what.

• Deleting a unit no longer provides gold.

This is the only way I have been able to counter the increase in maintenance cost of units over the eras.

what level are you playing on? I only played emperor so far so I cant comment on the higher difficulties.

I wouldnt think using a known bug/exploit should be required though.

Patch is pretty good so far. They didnt fix the main issue I have but otherwise ok.

The patch made minor changes to some of the icon art define files. So some mod updates will definitely be necessary.

Has anyone played a vanilla game to see how effective the AI changes have been? Are they still terrible? Diplomacy still basically broken?

Nice.. I noticed the update when I saw the different color backings for the resource icons.. that is nice. You can tell right away what is a luxury item, what is a required item for forces, and what is bonus.

I'm playing vanilla with the patch.

I'm not that far into the game but so far Gandhi is mad because I have units close to his cities (I don't) and gorgo (out whatever that Greek leaders name is) turns up every few turns to tell me I'm a coward and I have no idea why (maybe because I haven't been involved in a way yet).

Furthermore no one seems to let me send delegations - even though they say they changed this in the patch.

So no - I'm definitely not impressed with the \Skodkim
