lol I know how you feel. You control the ship with your mouse basically, but you set your speed with like X, or Z. Pretty much every key does something. Use space bar to get direct control over your ship with the mouse, press space bar again to stop navigating with your mouse and click on stuff.
Still so laggy, I'm going to have to try medium gfx and 800x600 resolution...
Also, it wants me to fly to some training station at the start, so I found the autopilot system somehow and there were only 6 stations in the Uranus orbit, none of them were a cadet flying school or whatever they wanted.

I think it's not a training station as much as just a trainer hanging around in a ship? I don't remember clearly. Autopilot is godsend though.
Anyway, I remember looking for that training thingie for a little while too... So it's normal to not find it right away, but it's in that system I'm pretty sure.

Started Heavy Rain today. Seems like a really cool game. Here's hoping they won't make a clusterfu*k of the story like they did with Fahrenheit/Indido Prophesy. That was still a great game though.

Is it better than the first one? I found myself getting sick of it when the characters really started bugging me

From what I heard its much better than 1. Personally, Im waiting for it to drop in price and until I finish JC1.
I never played 1, so I can't really speak for it. But what I can say is, that it's probably the best sandbox game I have ever played. Try the demo, and you'll see that time just flies by; it's just so darn fun!
EDIT: Though it is $50, it's defiantly worth it. With all you're getting with the game I say it's a fair price.

The entire point of the game is to cause chaos. i.e. EXPLOSIONS. Try the demo, and you'll see what I'm talking about! It's awesome!

They go over what JC2 is and isnt a bit (har har!) Like said above, you cause chaos and destruction. Story only loosely ties it together.
