The Island Game

King Stine Illsgrey accepts the invitation to a party in Killfirelandium. It better be good.

He arrives via airship, which is also coal powered.

President Innocent Bystander accepts and also arrives in style. A jet fighter flies over the party and drops some smoke bombs on everyone, then he parachutes out of the passenger seat.

Spoiler why :
Dropping smoke bombs is the equivalent of what your airship did with all that coal, jerk!

Pres. George comes to the party. He comes in a full aircraft carrier, the last in Moneta.

You're a douchebag because of the FTL Travel Deal.

Orange is me, Perfection.
And Technantis, what font did you use?

Impact, I think.

A special message from president McCloud...

Good evening, fellow leaders. Your assistance in the Scaler crisis has been greatly appreciated. For many years these aliens known as the Scalers have been warring with us. The reason for that is because they have been attempting to secure a foothold on this planet, but they have been hampered by the fact that, although their weapons are mighty, they and their vehicles of war are very weak structurally. They have chosen to attack us because our country is located directly in the center of a techtonic plate; the only country with this feature. For this reason, we have developed the Arbiter, a seismic dive bomber with the ability to drop warheads that create massive shockwaves. While the bombs do not severely harm human soldiers and vehicles, the weapon is devastating to the Scalers soldiers and vehicles. We have finished testing this weapon and the nation of Trichomedia is producing this bomber in their factories for us until we recapture our own factories. As a gesture of thanks, we will share the schematics of the Arbiter with all nations who have and will help us in this conflict. Only on one condition, however.

While the Arbiter is weak against vehicles and individual soldiers, the bomber is devastating against buildings, especially civillian structures. The bomber has the ability to slaughter millions of innocent civillians in one attack. For this reason, we will only give the bomber to the nations assisting us if they sign a treaty promising to use it only against the Scalers and, once the war is over, to recall and scrap all of the bombers. The nation of Technantis feels that this gesture can save millions of innocent lives should there be a conflict between the nations in the future. Thank you.

Oh, and we've had the equations for space travel for a while now. Just so you know. ;)

In other news, resistance forces in the West have been crushed by a Scaler strike force.

On the bright side, General Wulf, reinforced by the TSS soldiers, has pushed foward and met with the southeastern resistance, further strengthening his armies.

We agree to the treaty of Arbiter.

Selachima will come to the party in Killfirelandium. James Brierley will stay at home to supervise the war effort, but some of our Consuls will attend, as well as 200 lucky winners of the "Grand Party Break" competition.

They arrive in style, in a modified Airborne Assault Carrier.

In other news, Selachima agrees to the Treaty of Arbiter.

Operation Thorvald

With the success of the amphibious landing in Technantis (Operation "Cube"), the Selachiman Taskforce to Technantis (STT) launched Operation Thorvald, an operation to destroy the alien presence in SW Technantis. Initial progress include the recapture of one of the state capitals. Air support have been crucial in the campaign in assaulting alien ground forces. Our fighters are a match for alien fighters; they are not able to deal as much damage but are better armored and have greater flexibility and maneuverability.

Operation Joakim

A small but highly-trained force Selachiman Marines has landed in the north of Technantis, to provide a lifeline to the encircled resistance fighters in the north and assist Andaran forces in retaking rightful Technan lands.

Moneta signs the treaty of Arbiter as well.

Steampunkeria does not sign the treaty as they're not going to be using the bombers. Give those prototypes to someone else so they have more to use.

Also, King Stine Ills Grey asks nicely of President Innocent Bystander to stop unnecessarily polluting the environment with the smoke bombs. We have a need to pollute because of our steam powered industry.
King Stine Illsgrey will probably forget all this happening during the partying though.

Ah, but Steampunkeria would NOT have a need to pollute if they did not use steam power, hmm?
We agree to the Treaty of Arbiter.

Steam power is the best power source to use. It does pollute, but we try and limit the effects on our people. It's people like you who pollute in some sort "message" that's the problem.

Trichomedian forces move East, with the aim of linking up with Technantis forces and taking the lake in the Southwest State. Unfortnately, although many gains are made, we are unable to take the lake due to the strong Scaler defenses there.

That isn't a lake. It's a group of Technanten Freedom Fighters. There are no lakes in Technantis.

My apologies, my information gatherer will be fired shortly.

Xox Xooklia carpet bombs all the Scaler area with its new bombers, its old regular bombers, its new FTL bombers, and the flying saucers of its new alien friends.

and the flying saucers of its new alien friends.

Wait... what?

We're at war with the aliens!

Speaking of that war, it has been a while since we have deployed our troops. Time for a map update!

As you can see we have made significant progress, and recently airdropped thousands to surround a nearby state capitol. They are currently rather scattered, however. They will regroup and take the capitol shortly though! :)
