With all other threds of the remaining civs is getting nowhere I thought we couldmake a new onw.
Why don´t we have some sort of voting about what 3 civs you want in BTS?
I know there was some sort of voting on this some months ago, but we´we got a lot more info since that.
So I start:
Nubia
Siam
Polynesia

Well, it seems like they're fleshing out the civs they made for the previous versions of the game, so my guess is the Hittites are in, and probably Austria. As for the third civ, my pick would be Siam, with Ethiopia and Khmer as close runners-up.

Great!!!! I thought I was the only one that wanted Nubia in.

I don´t know why all other people haven´t thought about Nubia. Everyone seems to ´take the Etiopia side.

Nubia is a civ that should have been in since Civ1 instead of the Zulus.

I highly doubt Sweden will be in the game. I think it's clear at this point that the Viking civ is supposed to be taken as representative of all Scandinavia, whether or not it's historically appropriate to do so. After all, just look at all the Swedish city names on the list. In my opinion the civ should be renamed to the Norse or Scandinavia, but whatever it is, it's one civ that encompasses Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.

Having a Scandinavian civ would fill in a gap that is: all Scandinavian peninsula, Greenland (Danish), Finland (Swedish for a veery long time) and the Baltic region (Danish and Swedish).
Instead of just the "Viking" civilization that represents just Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland, and that just a tiny part of those countries histories.

My first choice for a new name would be Scandinavia. Then Norsemen.

I hope it would be a South-East Asian, another African and a 'Polynesian' civ. They are really unrepresented.
Possible choice, with my preferences in bold

Sadly I expect the last three will be the following, in accordance with previous Civs:

Hittites

A completely new civ (Civilization is not made only by old civs.)

Yes, yes and Bleugh. A Polynesian "civ" would be daft. It's only use could be to make the game see less Eurocentric, but the term "Polynesian" itself represents a Eurocentric view- that is an abitrary western term, used with no reference to the actual cultures of the people living there.

I didn't mean that the Polynesian civ should be added, but that a civ from the 'Polynesian' region. I don't have enough knowledge of their history to make a claim who, what I think one of the 'Polynesian' civs needs to be added.
