The Law of the Jungle

A sacrifice of JK, would make my army angry, so i hope that the politicians sacrifice someone else.

Ugh :shifty:
What happened here?

hey Christos, if you manage to be the one to sacrifice JoanK you may have a chance at becoming a tlatoani..... then again, your generally a total fail in these matters so its probably best for you to continue being a mostly harmless sideshow.

ooc: I dont realy care about you. I just want to test my power. Also i will try to create some speeches and have more influence in the army.

ooc: I don't care about you either, since your an irrelevant sideshow who is likely doomed to failure. Besides since im totally insignificant in this game at present due to the glorious shadow of our emminent and omnipotent tlatoani Ceskari and due to an unfortunate dice roll born of wild experimentation, I must make other arrangements to adore and glorify our supreme and luminous master Ceskari, while grovelling in awe before him

this statement is completely undoctored and everything said in it is a word for word quotation of what was actually metaphysically said

ooc: Those who played the American political system in civ 4 will be familiar with this speech. ( Note : that was the only game, that i was elected president, general and my revolution was a total success.)
IC:

Dear army!!

We are the ones who risk our lives every day, so the people in this land can live peacefully!! We are the ones who fight against hundreds of barbarians!! We are the ones who bring justice, stability and freedom to our empire!! To our nation!!

But those those politicians just sit and play it the great generals, and say that we know nothing of war!! What? We are the ones who risk our lives every day. We are the ones who have fought in real wars, and not just sit in our homes and say that we are the great generals.

So, i ask the politicians, to make the army independent of the politicians, in order to create a strong and stable army. All operations of the army will be decided by soldiers not politicians.

For the army!! For the nation!!

(Note: There is a set core of actions that can be taken in this game, speeches have no effect: read the rules on the front page)

Too bad your power is severely circumscribed by the power of the glorious and invincible Tlatoani of Tenochtitlan. Also I wasn't in that game where you actually succeeded. Im sure that if I was you would once again be lamenting the fact I seem to be a bad luck charm of yours (like in Feud, where I am currently top of the totem pole as most prestigious)

You can stop kowtowing before Ceskari, Jehoshua. If I was him, maybe I'd try to get you killed or kicked of the city, so irritant as this is when performed as repeatedly as you do :p

The Tlatoani of Tenochtitlan without his army, is nothing. I respect him, but without the support of the army his powers are lost.

how dare you say that Ceskari is not worth kowtowing too :p (that and the blue is censored from its original form)

ooc: What christos hasn't mentioned is that in the American political system the army turned against him and now he's on trial.

ooc: The army supported me. So and the republicans. But those democrats did an AR and destroyed my junta. :(

So, christos, your quoted post...
not how grammar works in English.
In English, it implied you wanted all of them to attack the city.

Also, you're "soldier" part...
well, hasn't worked out for you in previous games.
And won't work out here, either - attacking a city with two of the game's weakest units?

Captain Sparthage listened to christos's speech. The newest recruit certainly had strange ideas on the military and its independence. Certainly he didn't actually think that the politicians had control of the most respected division of the Aztec Army? Yet it seemed that he did. Sparthage would have to remind the young soldier that he, Captain Sparthage, was commander of the unit and the most senior officer of the Aztec military.

The division was not to engage in a foolish attack that would certainly result in the deaths of every member. Even with another full division of warriors and a reserve of scouts, there would be no taking of enemy cities. Rather, the division would engage the enemy in vicious Jungle combat. The men had been training hard, and soon the division would be at full strength. It was just a matter of time before the drums of war would signal the order to move in defense of Aztlan.

OOC: Christos, you can make all the speeches you want to, but I will not attack enemy cities with merely two warriors and a scout. They wouldn't stand a chance. I simply will not make such an unneccesary risk as to move into the open where we are vulnerable. The 1st Jaguar Company is trained specifically for rough terrain combat. I will gladly slaughter the enemy in the Jungle, but in the open we would be open to any attacks. And to whom it concerns: research Iron Working and save up funds to pay for an upgrade. The Jaguars will keep the rough terrain bonuses (and their UU properties), and will be unstoppable in the Jungle.

I am leaving this game. Thanks for a good time, though, yahz.

Goodbye, we'll see in SotS, I hope. Unless you're leaving SotS too, of course :(

Speeches do not officially count for anything but they do add a lot to flavor of the game, so kudos for making them!

Sorry to hear that. Your chars will be here until they die in the event you change your mind. (swimandciv finally starved to death! I forget when he stopped playing, it was months ago)

Lol. We are soooooo dead. Especially since Yahz runs these on non-noob difficulties.

Is this the spirit of today's warriors? What was Aztlan come to! The enemy has yet to even attack our cities, let alone come anywhere close to taking them.
