Thursday, January 19th, my roommates and I started what may become the longest game ever.

In total, there are 6 of us living in the house. We had an extra computer, so we have dedicated it solely to Civilization 4 hotseat games. On Thursday, we began a 6 player hotseat game, on a small pangea map on normal speed. The game has continued to run since then.

Since we are all in school, we can't dedicate a lot of time to it, and so people will make a move whenever they are available and it is their turn. We are progressing steadily at a rate of about 3 rounds per day; so far we all have built a warrior and nobody has completed a worker.

I will keep this thread posted with any interesting updates. I'm in love with the idea, as Isabella's territory meter indicates, it's "100% F***ing Awesome".

some online friends and I are doing a play by email. fast game, mideival era, archapelagoes. we started in mid December and I think we've gone through about 6 turns so far.

so you may have some competition there...

Well I guess you got me there. Maybe I should change it to "The longest play session ever"; we haven't closed Civ4 since we started the game over a week ago.

A little update on progress: 3 civs have founded a 2nd city. One civ's worker was captured by another, putting him at a serious early disadvantage.
