Is it illegal to omit previous work experience when filling out a job application or handing out (making) a resume?

No, I don't believe it is.

I was thinking more recent stuff. Having unexplained time gaps in a resume invites awkward questions.

If I believe that I have a paper worthy of being published, who or what should I contact for that? I'm sure there are university academic journals, should I go to them or are there others?
Approach a teacher in the field at your university. If this is a paper you wrote for a class, talk to the teacher about it. Just sending it in won't work at all. It's highly unlikely that you can get anything published, anyway -- that's not a personal dig, I couldn't at this stage either -- but you'll have a much better chance if you have a prof familiar with the process guiding you through it.

It's about 0 degrees Celsius here, and about 0 degrees Fahrenheit in Wales. What do you think the temperature will be later on in the winter?

Is "Time Inc." a newspaper or magazine?

Time Inc. is the publisher of TIME magazine.

Thanks. I thought that it was a newspaper cause there are a lot of newspapers called SomeCityName Times.

If a newspaper article misspells three out of five names, should I take it seriously?

Although it is sloppy and unprofessional to misspell words/names in an article, it does happen. If you still find the content, writing style, facts, details, relevance, and accuracy of the article to be up to par, then you should probably still take it seriously.

I'm hesitant to base my opinion of a newspaper on a single article.

It might be enough to form an opinion on an author or even an editor, but a newspaper cannot be judged by a single article.

It also depends on what you are looking to get out of a newspaper.

So, note the author's name and continue on as usual.

The article should be measured and reviewed for what you are hoping to get out of it. If the spelling of a few names really ruins your intentions, than I would say yes.

EDIT: I noticed I misread your post, and thought you meant the whole paper and not just the article. But my response is good enough I believe.

Unless Im mistaken, it was a concert review in a college newspaper.

Though something funny did happen earlier this year: For a certain album that came out in June, some guy I know made a joke cover of the album that showed two dogs ... well, you know, tightly coupled and he put it on the site, later on noting that it wasn't real. And some newspapers actually picked up that cover and used it instead of the real cover.

Is it The Guardian newspaper in the UK? Also known as the Grauniad because of the frequent typos they make. It's a quality Newspaper though in other respects (if you are a commie loving socialist, and have a beard, of course).

You don't do it like that.

You do it like this (quote me to see how I did it):

Link to video.

Better not be a rude vid...

EDIT: You take the bit after v= and before any & stuff and put it in youtube tags.
