Gotten electrocuted BY disassembling a mouse.

I think whoever did up the warranty paper just used some standard one for all devices.

EDIT: I went through it again. it says to place it on a cart to move it.

So I'm starting to apply for several internships in various NGOs and whilst I believe I am educated enough for these roles, they usually request academic references. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not. While I was in University I never built a personal relationship with any lecturers, so they are at most "aware" of me. Would it be bad form for me to just email a few asking them if I can include them as a reference?

I also want to point out that this won't be the sort of reference where I need a letter of recommendation so it will only require a simple "Yes" or "No" on the lecturers part.

Opinions?

continuing with where we were, have you thought about leaving your degree out of things when applying for a minimum wage job?

No, Usually I just leave it on.

What is the abbreviation for "approximately" or a similar word? I know "estimated" is "est."

If it matters, Im trying to date magazine articles.

Thanks.

Question: is the phrase "maudlin pallor" a good or bad thing? I wish the damn reviewers would stop using such fancy words.

Maudlin = Self-pityingly or tearfully sentimental, often through drunkenness
Pallor = Adjective: An abnormal lack of colour in the skin from fear, illness or death. Paleness. Pallor suggests a marked reduction in the flow of blood. It also will occur if your red blood cell counts get too low.

THAT GOOGLE, EH

.... I know what the words mean but I dont understand their meaning together.

Anyways, what's this word? Its the name of some European magazine, I think in French or something:

Thanks. I was trying to figure out if it was Buxadeo or Buyaders the way the letters run together.

Anyone else have/had flakey eyebrows? I've tried applying moisturizing lotion and conditioner, but it keeps coming back. Any special products I should try?

Does my irritation at hearing my Art History prof pronounce Reformation as "REE-fohrm-ation" have any grounds or am I just perturbed at hearing it said a way I hadn't before?

You probably just need to get high and/or laid.

Amirite.

I usually hear it REHformation, and pronounce it thusly, but I not infrequently do hear it REEformation.

Well, yeah :p
You've originally heard it as REF-orm-a-tion, eh?
Yep, always, as far as I remember.

Well then today was just my first experience of an apparently not uncommon pronunciation. Fair enough! It's in conjunction with my prof's seemingly less than adequate vocabulary and understanding of the subject that this found itself more significant than it should be, I guess.
