If it really was a disease of the brainstem the impairment would be far more physical.

When UK employer advertises a position with an annual salary of e.g. £40,000, am I correct to presume that is not net but gross salary?
Any online calculators there to find out net salary?
EDIT: nevermind, found the calculator.

Yes it is gross but it usually wouldn't include benefits such as private health insurance, pension contributions etc.

Would someone be so kind as to design a Greasemonkey script that would allow one to hide certain threads and posts on CFC? Or would that be impossible, given the design of the forum?

I'm fairly certain Till already did that, and there's a thread for it somewhere. But don't recall where to find it.

edit: was able to find it.

Thank you very much. Also, Till is awesome for making these.

Is there any internet at all in North Korea, even like for top officials and what not?

Somehow I don't think there is. The country has an official webpage, but that could have been made elsewhere, maybe China.

I wonder if they contribute to their wikipedia page. :D

Yes. Particularly for top officials (though there are internet cafes in Pyongyang, censored of course). The DPRK state also has a twitter account and Youtube channel. Ordinary people also has access to an intranet IIRC.

Is there any dam represented more in video games than Hoover Dam?

More? naw

Equally?

Still probably no, but Three Gorges would have to be second place.

Hoover dam is in civ 3, Three Gorges in civ 4 I think. Might be other way round, I haven't played civ for a few months now due to computer problems.

I forgot the proper name for when an article is written by AP or Reuters or something and put out in a bunch of newspapers. Any idea?

A wire article?

I'm not sure I understand the question. You don't mean "syndicated," do you? The AP and Reuters are news agencies; they employ reporters who develop news stories and other articles, and their content is licensed by newspapers or other news outlets. (In the AP's case, some of those outlets are members of the AP, and others can license articles as subscribers.)

A syndication service is different than a news agency, though; a syndicate doesn't produce the content itself, but generally own or represent the copywrights of independent writers, cartoonists, or other contributors.
