Is there any reason a major general would need to know differential calculus? What about Babylonic cuneiform? Are they as useful as being able to tell a Mauser SR-93 from a Javelin ATGM?

I found an article. However it says it's NC17. Whats that mean? And its extremely detailed on what happens in the hotel rooms which isn't all very nice stuff. Do you really think they would let reporters into the hotel rooms while doing that stuff?

Calculus would have some uses, especially to an artillery officer I think. Babylonic Cuneiform probably referred to the trend for the more well off in society to go off to foreign countries and do stuff like Archaelology as a sideline to the conquering they were doing for their jobs. And knowing the difference between a sniper rifle and anti-tank weapon takes only superficial knowledge really, except for procurement staff.

Head Like A Hole is from 1989, which is only one number off. And it includes the line "I'd rather die" so...
