The Men Who Would Be King

Ok then I will pick Trishire.

EQ will we be allowed to establish new towns or ports or anything like that? Or are we stuck with what's on the map?

This reminds me of my NES :dubious:

I just want to say that I'm observing now. Maybe I'll join. ;)

Oh, and I made up my NES by myself, I didn't know about this yet.

I decided to make some totals:

RtoR: 145 gold
K-land: 210 gold
Arathor: 210 gold

Is there going to be dissent, or are we allowed to oppress our peasants as much as we want, like real medieval lords?

Thelastjacobite, the only way to answer your question is thus:

Yes.

Ah Warcraft... great source... i'd like to take Lakeridge if i can... I can still grab a sword but can i fight the Horde? :P

Well, this NES is ready to start off, I'd like to have the first update by Sunday. Follow the set up for a family, those who have called a province, they're all yours. Let's get this party started.

Hoorah!

O'Padrig Clan
Provinces: Norland
Heads of Family: Lord Patrick O'Padrig and Lady Scarlett O'Padrig
Family History:
The O’Padrig Clan had long been an ally of the Trollbane family. The original O’Padrig, Padrig the Elder (himself himself), great-grandfather of the current Head of the Family, had fought alongside Strum Trollbane against the barbaric Rtorians in the 45 years war. The once peaceful Norlands had been ravaged by the warmongering invaders, who sought to blot out the noble Arathi line. Padrig’s tenacious leadership and awe-inspiring battle style helped to rally the Arathi forces at the Battle of Grume Plains to victory, despite the Elder’s death in battle. For their valor, the O’Padrig Clan was awarded much of the Rtorian’s southern border. Strum’s death, and the ensuing War for the Throne, caused the land to be retaken by the treacherous Northerns. Yet, the O’Padrigs’s have worked hard on what they have, maintaining their status as the Guardians of the North, and greatly increasing the value of their territory. They remain steadfast allies of the Trollbanes. The clan symbol, the Bear, adorns the halls of Hammerhall in their main city of Nord, and their ferocious battle cry is known to terrify those who face them in battle. Their new leader, Patrick O’Padrig, and the clan as a whole, lives only to serve their king.

May the Glory of the Arathi span 10,000 generations! All Hail King Danath! Trollbane! Trollbane! Trollbane!

Thanks... I was thinking of keeping with the undercurrent Warcraft theme but decided against it... Vimes seemed to suit perfectly... He may be king one day but he probably wont like it :P

No, he probably wouldn't like it. I've got your children's names already picked, unless you have better ideas. Next girl is Angua and next boy is Carrot.

Family Name: Dilarii
Starting Province: Adirolf
Heads of Family: Lord Benjamin Dilarii and Lady Victoria Dilarii
Family History (optional):

Family Name: De Vir
Starting Province: Noppin
Heads of Family: Lord Alain and Lady Faustine
Family History (optional): The De Vir family is a traditionally insular family, well-suited to the island which they have come to rule through the murder of all before them in the line of succession. The De Vir family's penchant for politically motivated killings is something of an open secret amongst the Kenethican nobility, as is their distrust of all nobles other than the Anon family, who have shown great kindness to the De Virs, including several pardons for murder. The De Vir family is descended from the original inhabitants of the island, and the earliest recorded "De Vir" was a lumberjack, who led a peasant revolt against a previous lord of Noppin, and was rewarded by the new ruler with a knighthood. It was then that the De Vir name became associated with a particularly violent form of social climbing.

That good? Also, I note the Looking For Group references, kudos.
