The nations civs that you want for the next expansion of civ4

Just wait until Civgold 4.0 is out, that should give a couple more civs!

(SCOTLAND! YEH!)

;)

Could my local pub be included as a civilization, please ? Seriously, they serve really good beer.
If that doesn't go, then I vote for the dolphins.

Yugoslavia for sure.

Serbia would make more sense, as Yugoslavia was Serbian-dominated. And Serbia had an empire before the Ottomans showed up.

But the Yugoslav leader (Tito?) could have the "Holds country together through sheer willpower" trait, granting protection against culture flipping. If the Yugoslavs fall below a certain position in the scores list, every non-capital city breaks off as a separate AI civ and declares war on every other civ created by this process. The remaining bits of Yugoslavia also get attacked by all the other nations in response to ethnic cleansing.

um no. serbia wouldnt make sense because it wasnt much of a country before Tito showed up. thats kind of like me saying America shouldnt be in the game because the Native Americans were there before America showed up. Also Serbia wasn't the name of Yugoslavia and was only a part of it. There was also Croatians, Bosnians, Montengroans, Macedonians and Slovenians.

lol. thats actually a good idea.

Philippines, dangit!... or maybe Austronesians... that would work... according to Wikipedia, they started out in Taiwan and somehow settled all of the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, the Pacific islands, Madagascar, and Hawaii. They occupy about 57% of the globe from east to west and today number about 380,000,000. That's not insignificant, is it?

Agreed, I want to play as my own race for once. D:

Well, obviously:
  • Atlantis
  • Mu
  • Numenór
  • Meklar
  • Bulrathi
  • Darlok
  • High Elves

And hobbits! this game needs some halfling luvin.

:D

Hobbit UB: Inn of the 2nd Breakfast. +1 bread, +2 happy.
Hobbit UU: Fellowship. 4 hobbits in band that moves at 3, strength 4, +100% vs everything - except other hobbits, cannot attack - except other hobbits and then there is a cap, can only pillage farms, reveal all spies in 1 tile radius, and attract all enemy units in an 8 tile radius.

;)

I'm well aware of that; I merely suggested Serbia might make a better, more specific civ seeing as Yugoslavia was a union of nations dominated by Serbia rather than a single nation with a common culture/language. The difference between Serbia and Yugoslavia is like the difference between Russia and the USSR; it makes more sense to have Russia/Serbia.

thats not entirely true. Serbia was the highest population of the country but the others still had as equal power in Yugoslavia as Serbia did because Tito tried to make it so that everyone was equal.

I would include: Israel, Poland, Brazil, Hungary and Cuba.

And well i have lived in spain some years and if this civ 4 people are brave enough to add Franco (geographically incorrect) as prime minister of 'Iberia' a guy who is almost proibited to talk about in Spain, and which a offensive name is 'Facha' (from facist), Mussolini and Stalin, why dont u add hitler? yes i know it is incomparable what Stalin etc and Hitler did it still has no sense.

This may sound as an argument to get Franco and the other guys out of the game, but is the contrary, add Hitler nothing will happen people.

And lets face it a 14 year old jew wont be offended if they see Hitler in a game, i would consider more offensive not to put it as if he never existed.

I'm not saying that someone is offended i am just daying that it makes no sense no to add Hitler if u already add some other dictators and stuff.

Hello, been lurking for awhile and finally decided to post.

Anyways, for civs in a new expansion, i'd like to see some things that Civ4 doesn't really have right now, names with explanations, and leaders if I happen to think of someone cool.

Israel, leaders David and Solomon: Based on the ancient kingdom of Israel, and mainly added because there's no historically Jewish nation in the game right now, and Judaism can often play a large part.

Huns, leader Attilla: I think more Barbarian-ish civs are kinda left out. There's the Celts, I guess, and the Mongols. Might overpopulate on the European civs, though.

Latin America, leaders Che Guevara and Simon Bolivar. I find it odd civ has no modern south/central american civ. Rather than picking a specific country, i'd like to just wrap it up as Latin America.

Moors (Berbers if you so prefer), leader (? I dunno...wikipedia points me to Tariq ibn-Ziyad?) I think that completes Africa pretty well, and gives another Islamic nation.

Timurids, leader Tamerlane. I think it fills an important geographical void between the middle east and India

I honestly wouldn't be opposed to some more mythological civs, either, keeping within reason. Atlantis, for example. The tale of Atlantis may have just been talking about the Minoan people. I wouldn't oppose that. Maybe a Trojan Empire, too. Nothing with monsters or anything, but civs that MAY have existed.

Right, nice oringinal suggestions

Israel, leaders David and Solomon: Based on the ancient kingdom of Israel, and mainly added because there's no historically Jewish nation in the game right now, and Judaism can often play a large part.

Hey, lets add the Sikh Kingdom, because theres no historically Sikh nation in the game right now, and Sikhism can often play a large part

Huns, leader Attilla: I think more Barbarian-ish civs are kinda left out. There's the Celts, I guess, and the Mongols. Might overpopulate on the European civs, though.

Your right! We should add a civ that invaded Europe, then collaspe a few years later after their leader died after his wedding. Also "Babarian Civilization" contradicts itself

Latin America, leaders Che Guevara and Simon Bolivar. I find it odd civ has no modern south/central american civ. Rather than picking a specific country, i'd like to just wrap it up as Latin America.

Okay this could be a possiblitiy.

Moors (Berbers if you so prefer), leader (? I dunno...wikipedia points me to Tariq ibn-Ziyad?) I think that completes Africa pretty well, and gives another Islamic nation.

Agreed

Timurids, leader Tamerlane. I think it fills an important geographical void between the middle east and India

You mean like Persia?

Agreed
