What if the Americas had never existed, and the European explorers instead found their way to the Orient, then what would have happened, how would world history have changed?

What so instead of America there was just a load of water? I doubt the Spanish empire would have been able to keep up its empire much longer without the gold it was getting from the new world. That and European development would probably be delayed somewhat- perhaps someone may have been able to achieve a hegemony across Europe but i doubt it.

I suppose the Atlantic & Pacific would have to be merged and then presumably reduced in size by half in this scenario. That's the only way the Europeans could have reached Asia from the east in that timeframe, particularly if all the intervening ports have done an Atlantis. I would guess several points:
-The native Americans would probably suffer even more than in real life due to the inherent difficulties of living underwater.
-If a functioning network of supply stations across the Atlanto-Pacific can be put together then most of Europe would benefit, but especially the Iberians. With an empire based on trade and domestic production they would resemble the real life British or French in the 1600s and 1700s, and would have a huge early advantage over the other Europeans.
-The Ottomans would be looking a bit glum, but they'd still dominate the mediterranean & middle east until the new trade routes in the Indian ocean & Atlanto-Pacific really get under way.
-The excess population could be a problem for stability in western Europe. The economic & political revolution that occurred in Europe in real life would probably go on as usual, but where this energy would be directed and with how much success I don't know. The Reformation and it's wars could be bloodier than in real life since the powers would be more focused on Europe itself rather than the new world.
-Japan would be exposed to European technology (such as it was) and trade earlier than in real life and would be a major player in east Asia.
-LOL at the US. Sucks to be them...

They never would have gotten to the east that way, anyways, because it was too far.

It doesn't have to be one straight voyage, they could have taken short voyages between various islands and eventually reach the Orient that way... I'm not saying that there would be nothing there just saying there won't be a vast continent there

Russia becomes most populated country on Earth due to all the Native "Americans"?

the native americans will just be a mongoloid group of people in Kamchatka and Chukotka numbering up to 10 million at most. (which won't make russia the most populous country on earth) They also wouldn't be called Native Americans...

actually i'm curious if they'd be able to make a civilization up there or if they'd just be hunters and gatherers. Although this is more likely: when the Mammoths died out, they'd most likely migrate south to northern china.

Well, we wouldn't have Mexican wrestling, or the mexican wave, that's for sure :(

Europe wouldn't be a dominant force. They really never would of become to rich. I'd bet the world would be much less advanced currently but I can't really summatize what I think the world would be like in less the a text book.

I wouldn't be writing this post. No potatoes. No Horses. No Rock and Roll. A very upset Columbus who might have wound up treading water.

Horses evolved in the New World.

(Of course, an earth missing so much of the land mass it actually has would have developed so radically differently that I really don't think we can say that humans at all would have existed.)
