The official CFC Euro 2004 warm-up thread!

@Portuguese:

Pot 1: Portugal, France, Sweden Czech Republic
Pot 2: Italy, Spain, England, Germany
Pot 3: Netherlands, Croatia, Russia, Denmark
Pot 4: Bulgaria, Switzerland, Greece, Latvia

Thx Inter32 :goodjob:
I've very very very appreciated that tip!!!
Now I can start doing the last worksheet :D

@all: Waiting for comments...
(please note this last change have not yet be made. I'll upload a later version with that and all the english errors that were pointed out later, to avoid having so many files here as I have in my hard drive :rolleyes: )

Some of the probabilities seem to act little strange as 3-3 results occured several times but no one scored over 3 goals unless it was penalties. Actually I may be wron here as I am no longer sure waht a red background means.

3-3 is uncommon but happens.

4 goals is more common than a 3 in both countries (a 3-3)...
It is possible till 7, although it almost never happens...

If you understood the working of it, you can just pull up the maximum Poisson (or low the minimum...), reflect that change in the formulas and put different coefitients...

But I think it is fair this way...

Have you noticed "Cup Surprise". It is a quite cool way of saying that teams has a chance, although it is a minimal one... ;)

PS1: Click F9 on your keyboard to see what it does...

PS2: Last worksheet is still being completed. If you want the complete one, just tell me and I'll post it soon...
But what matters appears in the 2nd and 3rd ones...

It´s cool, but I hate and dont understand probabilities :mad: :o :rolleyes:

I meant on the spreadsheet, and I'm still not sure what a red background means... :confused:

Is the countries names that you don't get it?

in the new version all the numbers do work where at first they didn't, so that's solved now.

However, I still don't see how it works....unless this is not a spreadsheet for this euro '04 but a spreadsheet for euro '04 before the groups were drawn....and then I wonder why someone would want to make that. :p

I'm glad we're gonna win 2-0 against Spain in the final though. :p

That's cause he made this before the draw a few months ago. There was a thread about it in the Sports Forum.

What is this all about?
In case you didn't know: Germany has a 62.5% chance to reach the final and a 37.5% chance to win the championship.

Have a good day ;) !

Ok, time to revive the thread as the first warm-up friendlies of 2004 will be played this week. So, what do you expect at this point of the season?

I just hope we finally don't play like crap tomorrow againts England.

I just opened up another thread, dedicated to the inevitable humiliation of the USA tomorrow...
